I'm using this program to make something to put in a frame for my brother, but I'm having trouble printing it. The background is a light tan marble, and the text is burgundy. Even though the background and text show up just fine on the screen, the text will print, but not the background; it always comes out white. Even when I go to "print preview", the background shows up white.

Any ideas or suggestions?

You may be out of one of the inks (yellow, I'd bet) in your color printer cartridge. Try printing some other things, Web pages, for instance, and see how they print.

That's one of the gotcha's about color printing: You have about one third the amount of ink and three colors, the exhaustion of any one of which can render the cartridge useless.

Sounds like you may have a problem with the print heads on your printer. Try running a print-head cleaning.
