Does anyone know if they will be allowed to join after they get the "Z" visa?
Please if your gonna answer than be polite, and not give something like "I wish they would all leave". Im not asking for your opinion on the subject, im asking a simple question. Your views on the subject are nice and all, but im not asking about that. Thank you.

Instead of being "allowed" to join the military, it should be mandatory that they (men and women) enter the military and the war in Iraq. This should prove whether they want to be in America for the right reasons. I think this is just what Bush is looking to do being he can't bring forth the "draft" again because all of his politician's friends sons and daughters would be drafted....with the illegals, he could have the bodies he wants to continue to fight the war in Iraq.

I am a illegal inmigrant, but I quite know a lot of things about this country and your system, I'll been here 26 years, no, they won't allow anybody to join the military forces, now that's what logic stays for, but knowing the beautiful, progressful, and anti inmigrant bush goverment, hey who knows if they run out of inocents soldiers and requires that tricky part in order to get the Z visa, which is not more that another abuse to people like me and like thousands that hasn't commit any crime and we had spent already a lot of money, but the new reform will obligate us to pay US$5,000, so only GOD knows if besides the money we gonna have to go and fight for something that only bush made and understand.

I've know many Immigrants (Pioneers really) from Mexico who were not citizens who had served in the US Army.They probaly have no choice but to let Immigrants serve because all of the spoiled rotten white brats (like Bush's Daughters) and all the people who support Bush's War here in Yahoo Answers who don't wanna go fight in Bush's War in Iraq.

We already have thousands of immigrants serving honorably in our military. I would assume that once any person becomes a citizen, whether they entered the country illegally or not, would then be entitled to all the privileges of our country and that would include serving in the military.

good question. Probably not because of the education requirements for enlisting in the military.
If you are an illegal alien you are committing a crime whether you have been here 2 months or 26 years.

This is an assumption, but they will probably be able to. Immigrants have been a welcomed part of our military for many years.

When I was in the Navy, I served with five guys from the Philipines, as well as two guys from Costa Rica, and a guy from Turkey. These guys were all foreign nationals, but were wearing the American Uniform as a part of their immigration. I applaud it!

Immigrants will be able to work legally, but they will not be residents or citizens, and I think you have to be a legal resident or a US citizen to be allowed to join the army..

I think we should round up all the illegals and ship them to Iraq and all the other places our men and women are right now. They want to be an American, Try that for Amnesty, CONTRIBUTE where it counts! If not, stay the hell out of the USA.
