I would like to get in the Navy as an officer w/ a BA in Psychology minor in Biology and continue my education in Clinical Psychology. But I am not sure if that would be the best route to go in fulfilling my goal. The pay as an officer sounds excellent and I have always been very drawn to the Navy (my husband is in the Navy enlisted E-6.)

most AMEDD accessions have at least a Masters if not a Doctorate. Otherwise the degree is not really competitive. another factor is how old you are.. many O communites have a age cut off. if you are say late 20s early 30s, you would be limited to the restricted Line and Admin Communities such as Information Warfare and Supply.

The Navy does have psychologists as part of the medical corps. They also use them for research projects. At the Naval Academy there are instructors who are psychologists in the leadership and psychology department. You will have to do further investigation, though.
