When i was younger, i used to reach high notes without a problem but i started getting sick and my throat would get clogged like when u get the cold and keep coughing. At times I can reach them, but the next i dont. How can i get all the stuff out of my throat?

1) Practice... your voice is controled by muscles and organs that need to be worked out & maintained just like the rest of you.
2) It's always good to warm up your voice first before shooting for the high notes- start with simple scales or even a light hum & go progressively higher.
3) It may take time to get all the range you want, but it is possible. Good luck- relax & have fun singing!

1. Before going to bed, drink warm honey with ReaLemon lemon juice. Sleep real well.

2. Warm up properly.

3. If you might justify an inhaler becuase of smoke or allergies, you may need it.

My mother has that problem. I'm not sure what kind of age difference we are talking about, but it could just be the natural progression of your voice. Most people's voices lower as they age, some only slightly, other's by quite a bit.
