Women, when you meet a guy for the first time, whether it's a blind date or just a friend of a friend… Do you like when he tries to shake your hand? Or do you think it’s weird?
Just my opinion… I really like when a woman wants to shake my hand in an introduction, and not just give a wave or a smile. I don’t know, I respect them a little more for it, and that is kind of a turn on.
What do you think?

I think handshakes are intruiging (sp?). Its like saying, its nice to meet you, i'd like to touch your hand. Its more intimate and sincere than a wave or a smile which can seem innocent and childish. But the actual quality of the handshake is whats important. If its a loose handshake where your palms just barely touch, then its boring and turns me off of a person, but if they are hard handshakes, or even flirtacious (sp?) in a way, then it can send chills down your spine.

No, I don't think it is weird. It says "Nice to meet you.". I feel weird to just smile when I am introduced to anyone. A hug is too personal, doing nothing is too impersonal, so a hand shake is just right. (Lol, reminds me of Goldilocks and the Three Bears...haha)

It's fine with me, you can learn a lot about a handshake. If they shake like a limp fish, it's a bit of a turn-off. Firm is good.

i think you are right. I always introduce myself and shake hands too if i meet a guy for a first time. that's how i know how to be kind and respectful.

I usually extend my hand first so men don't have to feel awkward. If it is a friend of a friend that I've heard about for a while, but have never met, I might even give him a hug.
In my book, a handshake is always welcome.

i do no longer hink it extremely is bizarre. It in basic terms makes me think of that the guy is well mannered. For me as quickly as I meet somebody a choose a speedy shakehand and a kiss on the cheek or in basic terms the kiss. perhaps it extremely is by way of fact i'm spanish.

Well handshake is ok..But sometimes a hug or a kiss on the cheek is ok. Is it a complete stranger..handshake is completely normal. BUt are you talking dateS?
