No. I'm not a masochist.
Yes, I do remind myself.
"PURE JOY", Jesus was and his followers would also be.
I do not enjoy it what-so-ever!!!
I do know I am on the right path to life...
Everytime some1 'spits @ me" [so to speak],
kicks me out of their house [literally] etc...
I thank Jehovah God.

Spoken like a true masochist. Actually this is a point of contention between me and my former religion. Most of them sought to be persecuted by making themselves targets through separatist and isolationist ideologies, and they used this verse along with the verse that says that the world hates those who are not a part of it to justify their virtuosity. On the contrary, the fact of the matter is everyone is a part of the world, and you can either choose to make it a better place or live a life of indifference and inaction. If you are persecuted, then perhaps you need to reconsider if you are part of the problem or the solution.

Geez. So help me, if one more member of the American Christian majority complains about "persecution," I'm going to puke. You folks are supposedly 90% of the population, how could you possibly, by any stretch of the imagination, ever EVER consider yourselves persecuted?
What you're complaining about is your failed efforts to circumvent the Constitution and turn our free society into a theocracy. What you're complaining about is having your efforts to have your screwball beliefs taught as facts in the science classes of tax-supported public schools thwarted by the law of the land. What you're complaining about is every effort you make to persecute those who aren't Christian or who disagree with your totalitarian agenda slapped down by the "activist courts."
If you're joyous at the idea that "God is here for us, says never will he leave us, etc.," that's fine, I have no problem with that. Just stop whining about being "persecuted." You people haven't got a CLUE what real persecution is. I suggest you ask survivors of the Holocaust about persecution. They're the experts.
Persecuted? Hogwash. You people never had it so good.

No, in all honesty, I don't. I am a believer and I hate suffering in any way, shape, form, or fashion. I do consider it a joy once God has gotten me through it and I can see how powerful He is.

I do believe the trials make us stronger...and prepare us for what may lay ahead in our lives....so joy to be tormented...not necessarily...but, I do appreciate it as a learning experience.

Yes, I do because every trial makes us grow more in the Lord and when we are persecuted by others its because Satan can see the blood of Jesus all over me and uses other people to get me. To me thats something to be joyful about because having the stains of the Blood of Jesus on me....theres no words to describe it.

It does not phase me when I am persecuted by others for being a Christian, because I know who I am in Christ, and nothing or no-one can separate me from His love.
Yes I use these verses for encouragement.

I can't imagine feeling joy about persecution or torment. It's never happened to me, but I seriously doubt that's how I would feel.

I'm working on it, still growing as a Christian. One day I hope to say along with St. Paul "I have learned to be content in whatever situation I find myself."
God bless.

Hanging on to anger and holding forgiveness in our hearts isn't the answer either!
