ok, this guy is my neighbor (hes one year older than me) is always flirting with me and stuff and we are always hanging out and having fun together but i dont know if he likes me. should i ask? but that could ruin the relationship and make things awkward if he says no... but if i dont and he does like me and hes to shy to say i could ruin the chances of a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship with him.
p.s. im in junior high.

OMFG im am going through the same thing and we are the same age ......at least i know someone that has the same problem!! okay what i do is i try to bring the relationship closer as friends...make him laugh and flirt, also hang out more......ex:
ask him and a bunch of friends to go to a park or movie.
if movie try to sit next to hime because if he puts his arm around you then he likes you.
if park, run around and go on swings and see who can jump off the farthest. good luck i hope it helps
PS with my neighbor, we have a much closer relationship that we even takes sides together for things and have our own nick names so i should help you ! :-)

This is the way I see it: If you ask him and he's not interested it might ruin the friendship, but are you really interested in being just friends with him anyway? Since just being friends isn't enough for you, and you want to be his girlfriend, all you can do is risk losing something you don't really want for the sake of getting something you do. Simple choice.

The problem is that he may flirt with you because he feels you are safe to flirt with. That is the risk you take by responding to him. SO what to do?
Try this: - If you continue to flirt like that, you risk that I get hooked.
If he lokks surprised you can follow up with: - You know, you are quite good at it.
I guess you can imagine several possible answers he can give. Be prepared for them, and if he escalates, escalate further...
