How can I lose 8-10 pounds to of stubborn fat on that i have on me? I have practice twice a week and workout the other 3 days strength training. Running on pavement kills me and i am just at a loss. I'm not fat, but just a few pounds heavier than what a soccer player should be at. Any help? thanks.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

70% of it is your diet, I would guess.

Try switching your breakfast to this:

1 cup of plain organic yogurt mixed with 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 4 ounces or so of blueberries/strawberries/raspberries or similar berry.

Limit your lunches and dinners to non-breaded fish/chicken and vegetables.

Once snack mid-morning (piece of fruit).

One snack mid-afternoon (some veggies like celery, cucumber, tomatos, etc.)

Drink a lot of water.

Instead of jogging on pavement (if that's all you have around you) then walk fast for 1/2 hour every day. You should be able to cover about 2 1/4 miles in 1/2 hour walking fast. At least 2, anyway. That will be easier on your joints.

You will DEFINITELY get lean if you change your diet to the above.

You are not fat if the details are true. You must have lots of muscles and that means you will weigh more then the average person your size. And that must be fun playing soccer that much!

id suggust you go on a little diet just a little as you already play soccer during the week which really is great exercise. jus cut back on what you eat a bit(no fat and sugar for 2, 3 weeks) and should burn some fat off pretty quickly.
