What kind of waves do you mean? Waves cant be put in permanant unless you get a Curly perm which normally aren't used unless the texture of your hair is right meaning straight and not to coarse or it will fry the hair.
Go to your local salon

a perm!!! they are expensive, yes but a really good perm can last for a year or so..sorry there is nothing that lasts longer than that.. but my hair was crazy thik and curly and i got a straight perm!! my hair was stick straight for about 7 months then it started to wave a little..but it stayed smooth and shiney!!! and its still smooth!! it really changes your hair texture! so maybe look into getting a perm!! good luck!

you may put a texturizer in your hair but first have it trimmed down some you want to thin it out first they have product for men and woman
