I want to start by saying that I believe in God.
Could it be that the Bible's editors didn't want us to know what Jesus had to say?

It's funny you should bring up 'bible editors'.

I've always wondered how anyone could believe a book that is thousands and thousands of years old, has been repeatedly translated, edited, and modified - could possibly be 100% accurate.

Not to mention how they could believe that it is true.

Jesus, it seems, never wrote anything down. But He said plenty, and much of what He said is plainly recorded in the Gospels.

He lived in a time and place where the passing-on of teachings orally was just as important as doing it in writing.

Even today, there are influential people who speak a lot, but do very little (if any) writing. Yet we still pay a great deal of attention to what they have to say.

Dear Dawn,

How can you say that you have read the Bible and yet ask this question? The Bible is the word of God. Jesus is God. Therefore, the words of Jesus are the words of the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16 states, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

No one will tell you this Dawn but I will because I care about you. "Believe in God" does not mean that you are saved--you are free from the penalty of all your sins and going to heaven. Read Romans chapter 9.

Only the Muslim's deny the writings of Jesus in their Nations. King James I, 1611 is the Most Holy Bible I think.

Remember the 2 young ladies that tried to sneak in a little childs book into Afghanistan, teaching about Jesus and they barely made it out alive!!

Im thinking and I dont recall Him ever being recorded as writing anything except the time He knelt to draw or mark or write something in the dirt when the people were trying to stone the wife for adultery. Jesus' Words were recorded orally and what we do have that He said was plenty (?) I'll spend the rest of my life just trying to follow what WAS said, amen? How about you?

His writings? Jesus doesn't have any writings. Apostles who knew Him have quoted Him in THEIR writings; but Jesus never authored any writings.

On a side note, all of the current books in the Bible are considered to be inspired by God (because they have internal agreement, as well as accuracy according to the fundamentals of the faith. Other books don't meet that criteria.). In that sense, God is the author. The overall message is of God. The instruments of authorship humanly speaking, are the prophets, apostles, etc to whom God gave the message.

Do you mean - are there writings written by Christ which have been suppressed or are you saying you know there are writings by Christ which HAVE been suppressed? If the latter then please tell the world as that would be the biggest literary find since the Nag Hammadi Manuscripts (which you should probably read, by the way, if you want to read other views & sayings of Christ esp Gospels of Phillip and Thomas).

Writings? What writings? Jesus quotes, parables, and testimonies of miracles are all over the New Testament, particularly the Gospels. He didn't need to write. He was widely written about.

Jesus spoke His word to the Apostles and to all people. The Apostles followed what Jesus did, they spoke the Words of Christ(this is called tradition) and later in their lives they wrote Jesus's words

Jesus didn't write anything. He acted, and spoke. Most of what Jesus said is written in the Gospels. "Jesus is so important to Christianity" is kinda funny. Christianity IS following Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ and His resurrection, there is no Christianity! Get it? CHRIST- ian.
