it can it all depends on the metabolism of the individual. the current level of body fat is a direct reflection of the bodies ability to metabolize glucose. with glucose metabolism disorders there will be a constant increase in the body fat % over time

No, your body will use the glucose first and never burn the stored fat. Even if you eat 10 grams of fat all of that fat will be stored if the body has excess glucose. All foods you eat will be converted into glucose when your body need it. Glucose is the only fuel you body uses so it need a process to convert all foods into glucose. Fats, carbs, ect are all converted into glucose.

Glucose (a monosaccharide) may be utilized directly for energy by all tissues; temporarily stored as glycogen in the liver or in muscle; or converted to fat, amino acids, and other biological compounds.
Sustained high glucose intake in the diet leads to increased fat synthesis.
If glucose intake continues after muscle and liver glycogen stores are saturated, the glucose is not excreted or wasted. It is converted to a fuel storage form which has an unlimited capacity i.e. triglycerides stored in adipose tissue.
