a wall? Its like talking to someone who is deaf. Witches are evil. Muslims are evil. Follow the light and the way. You worship Satan! All Muslims are terrorist! But then if you catogorize them, try to point out flaws in thier precious book, then you are being mean to the poor people. Go ahead and call me ignorant and mean, but geez people! Think for yourselves! We are not all evil! We are actually pretty nice people if you just BOTHER to learn anything about us!

LOL I am venting my frusterations about the hypocracies of people in general. I get tired of being "labeled" and then ripped into by doing it back. I am venting over people's ignorance of other religions but thier speed in condemning them. Sometimes I feel like I am just yelling at a deaf person who could care less about me or my soul. They just want to be right.

Oh come on guys. I mean you in a very general term. I mean we in a general term. I mean they in a general term. I appreciate educated responses. I am just frusterated at all the OTHER responses!

Saying all muslims blow things up is like saying all Christians bomb abortion clinics and Witches worship the devil. Its just not true. They aren't evil. There are just fanatics that give them all a bad name.

A good rant is good for ya. And you're right....everything is sinful and evil, but if you dare to point out an inconsistency, you're persecuting them. Funny how that works.

The problem is that quite often you are indeed "just yelling at a deaf person who could care less about me or my soul. They just want to be right"

It's easier to generalize and hate than it is to learn.

haha. Nice rant, very true. A girl in one of my classes was joking around that she was atheist and another girl said, "you know atheism has to do w/ devil worship right?" I tried to tell her that atheists don't worship the devil, they don't worship anything or believe in any type of supernatural spirits and she REFUSED to listen to me saying, "I don't want to get into a religious argument." And I then proceeded to bang my head against the desk.

heres the thing Jill ... you can't demand to be heard, the saying goes ... you can bring a horse to water, but you can't make them drink

educate by example, don't point fingers, and keep an open mind

and just to clairfy ... being open minded means changing the way I think about things ... not trying to change the way someone else thinks

Whether adherents of any given belief system are nice has no direct bearing upon its validity. I have met any number of "nice" wiccans, but this does not mean they are correct any more than the "nice" atheist, "nice" Christian or "nice" Pastafarian is correct.

You made a fair attempt to point out a flaw in the Bible, but did you read my response? It was neither mean, nor angry, nor yet vacuous and devoid of thought.

Jill,
It is difficult to persuade someone from their belief system. You can send them the most verifying documents, have them read the ancient texts, but someone will believe what they will. That is fine. They are where they need to be, you are where you need to be, and I am, too. Don't get frustrated. It lowers your spirit. Be the divine light that you are.

I don't have a clue who "we" is, so I can't answer. Actually, this is a question and answer board, so I'm confused as to why you're trying to educate people here anyway. Seems pretty much like you're categorizing all christians, so its kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.

I am having a difficult time either supporting or opposing you because I can't understand what it is you are trying to say.
