Does accepting Jesus Christ as the sacrifice that paid for your sins, completely remove you of the potential to do sin?

But doesnt that clash with the thought that, as long as youre a human with an ego, you will sin?

Excepting Jesus, does not mean we lose our will to make choices. We do still face temptation and the potential to sin.

The desire to commit sin is removed. When we become born again by water and spirit we become new as if we had never sinned and our slat is wiped clean. Meaning the sins that we committed before we excepted Jesus are forgiven

We all fall short of the glory of GOD.

Accepting Jesus does not remove us from the potential to sin, because we are human and the desires of the flesh are pretty strong. BUT accepting Jesus means ALL of our sins - past, present, and future - are forgiven through repentance and the blood of Christ. As Paul stated - that does not give us permission to go out there and sin all we want. In fact, once the Holy Spirit lives in us, we receive a conviction so strong that we don't want to sin or if we do sin, it makes us so miserable that we can't HELP but want to repent of the sin. Once you accept Jesus, there is a daily struggle between the flesh and the Spirit - that's what it means to "die to self". You CHOOSE not to sin, regardless of how bad the temptation is in the flesh.

No, it doesn't remove the potential to sin, we still sin @ times--but for most Christians, sin is no longer our lifestyle. Some who are born again may have deep-seated problems that take awhile to work through, but for the most part we desire to be mature & Christ-like. For some this is a process that takes time & patience, some are instantly delivered from things like alcoholism & other addictions @ the time they are born-again, but others are not.

No. Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior means that every time you sin, God sees that blood of Jesus over you. He is called the Lamb because before He came, when people sinned, they would take a lamb and kill it and that was the sacrifice needed to be made to cleanse them from their sins. Remember the story of Moses asking Pharaoh to free the Israelites? Well, the last plague was that anyone that didn't have that blood of the lamb on the door post, every child would be killed. The Israelites all put the lamb's blood on the doorposts, and when the angel of death came, it wiped out every child of which didn't have the blood on the door post. It's very similar to that.

dear calm. the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, is the price for all our sins, before you accept him as your savior, then if you repent of all your sins you have the forgiveness, from then and on you must follow in his steps, not in what merely man tell you to do, but there is more, as every human does, we all are sinners, and we all have imperfections, but we strive to reach the perfection it cannot be accomplished in mere hours, or days, but with a lifetime of obedience to the Lord's will. beware of the impostors. be good. Peace

Jesus Christ died for our sins. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, our sins have been forgiven. When we were born, "we were born into sin", it is our nature to sin. When you knowing sin, you should ask Jesus to forgive you. The sin is then forgotten. As you develop a relationship with Jesus, and read God's word you will find yourself changing and you will not desire the things of this world. Your desire with be to please God and you will want to increase your relationship with him, and your knowledge of him. No one is perfect, therefore you will always be a "work in progress".

First, having Jesus as your savior forgives you of sin but it does not remove your potiential for sin. Everyone sins everyday, asking for forgiveness everyday once you have been saved is the way to go.

However, to continue to commit the same sin over and over is denying Jesus' death. You should strive to grow and change on a continuous basis.

No, we are still weak to the flesh, as Paul explains in Romans that we still sin but we do not WANT to, however our sinful nature does get to us because we are born into a sinful nature- however we are washed clean and forgiven through Christ, and His Holy Spirit CONVICTS us when we do wrong, so we acknowledge sin and repent. We must have a repentent heart, that is very important when it comes to salvation. One who wants to TURN away from sin-- not just think they are forgiven so they can do whatever they want, but to TURN away from it and live for the Lord. We desire to please God, He gives us a new heart. But we still fall short of God's glory just like everyone else-- the only difference is we KNOW when we do it and we don't want to- we are convicted easily and strive to obey the Lord in all things. Because we Love Him!
Paul says: Romans 7:20
Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
