Mr. Perf. - There is a complete jst version of the bible. it is for sale at my locale drug store. BYU teaches evolution and GBH lied and you know it! If your seedling testamony can take it look at the link that imasis2 gave. Saying "I don't think we teach that" is a LIE! That takes balls to claim some out of context bs. You hold the temple ordinences sacred and secret , but that God was once a man. That is not secret or sacred. That is just what makes Mormons seem like a cult to other christians. He could'nt be honest and neather can you.

We Mormons are not really "a part" of Christianity. Our beliefs are strange and different because we beleive that the powers and authority of heaven was lost from the Catholic church, even as early as 300 AD. All off-shoots from that have varying degrees of error and many traditional Christian beleifs are diversions from the original teachings of Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a restoration of those lost truths through modern-day prophecy and visitation of angels. We are literally led by Jesus Christ, and every member has the gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion to guide and instruct us, provided we remain worthy by exercising faith in Christ and trying to obey His commandments. You could say that we are a not a part of modern Christianity, but since we do literally follow Christ, we are very much Christian. P.S. You are right about other Christians not accepting many of our beleifs. But we are a very faith-filled people (or at least, many of us are - no-one's perfect! We're all growing). God is not silent. He has a living prophet on the earth today.

It's fun to pull things out of context, isn't it? :-)
But I'll play along...
1) Yes
2) Yes, parts of it
3) Yes
4) No, not that I've ever heard of
5) Sort of, though stating it that way isn't quite accurate
6) No
7) No
8) No
9) No, go to a BYU biology class sometime. :-)
10) One doesn't have to do anything in the temple to be "saved". Men are saved by faith, repentance, baptism, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. However, eternal marriage and other covenants that are available in the temple ARE taught in the lessons. I know, because I was a missionary and it was discussed with every person I ever taught.
11) Most of them, or at least half-truths twisted out of context in order to paint the church in a bad light, and even the most anti-Mormon can't really deny it if they're being honest about it.
12) I haven't come across any that aren't.
13) Yes, it is true 100%.
14) I suppose so, though I have no empirical evidence to tell me that what my heart feels is wrong.
15) No, there are just some people who thoughtlessly parrot what others have told them without verifying the facts. :-)

5. I don' know. If he was, he was only SEALED to them, not actually married.
6. not that I know of. But then, it doesn't deny it, either.
7. ditto
8. ditto
9. I don't think we really have a stand, but I figure, Darwinism is wrong.
10. That comes later.
11. Some are lies, some are truths twisted to look sordid. Lies are easier to swallow if some truth is mixed in.
12. Depends on what you mean by "official" church statements.
13. Yes.
14. Do you believe it to be the word of God? Science doesn't prove that, even about the Bible.

19. In "Mormon Docterine" Bruce R. McKonkie presents the Catholic Church in...well, a less than glorious light.
There. Now you have more ammunition. Go blast us some more, you "Christian", you!
