I heard that when you get your belly button pierced that you don't feel anything because they numb it. Is that true? And I really want the truth. I don't want lies just to make me feel better. But if they numb it, will I really not feel anything? And if I do feel it, what will it feel like? Will it hurt a lot? Will the pain last a couple seconds? Or how long? Thanks!

they don't numb your belly button. they lay you down on a chair then pinch your skin with the some sort of plyers don;t get scarred you honestly don't feel a thing. then they put the needle through and it feels like a someone pinched you but it lasts like 2 seconds so your body doesn;t have enough time to respond to the needle. don;t look when they do it!!!

I have never had my belly button pierced but have had other piercings and that I am aware of no professional piercer numbs anything before piercing. As for pain it is no worse than getting a shot from a doctor lasts a few seconds but obviously it will still be sore so any irritation to it afterwards may sting a bit. Wear a belly shirt or something so it isnt rubbing on the piercing after you get it done.Best of luck.

they don't numb you. you will feel it, it will hurt- its a needle going through your skin. but as to whether its "a lot" depends on your tolerance for pain. some people say it doesn't hurt when they get it, others say it hurt a lot. there will be the initial pain of the needle going through and it will go away. later, maybe even for a day or two, it might be a little sore when you try to move and stretch in different directions. as long as you take care of it there shouldn't be any furthur pain or aching as it heals.

it feels like a pinch! It wasnt numbed, at least mine wasnt. It didnt hurt too bad just remember to breathe and DO NOT hold your breathe or you may pass out. It wont hurt after you get it done too bad just dont play with it too much and try not to get it hit on anything.

No they do not numb it and it hurts really bad. Plus there is a risk it could get it infected even with proper care. My ex had it done and even thought she took care of it the way they told her to it got infected and had to have a cyst removed.

Your belly button is not meant, by nature, to be pierced.

Hence, it hurts like hell. And are you sure that the person doing it is 'certified' and that his/her equipment is clean?
How do you know you will not pick up some horrible infection?

Your belly button. You choose.

no, they don`t numb it at all, but when they clamp it with the pliers that sort of cuts off the blood circulation & sensation in that area...it doesn`t hurt at all...i`ve had it done 4x, so i should know!!!
