No evidence for any such being.

2007-05-24 08:50:00 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 3

Nope.
Reasons:
1. Absolutely no evidence that a god exists.
2. The concept of a benevolent deity raises more questions than it answers (suffering, infinite regress etc.).
3. There are loads of different gods all claiming to be the right ones.
4. I think that believing in a god promotes ignorance and blinds you to the true wonder of the Universe.

If there had been no GOD then how come these mountains ,these valleys ,these rivers and all these living creatures have been there on the earth.Someone has to make all these. And moreover if someone thinks that all these things are there on earth due to any scientific reason then how come your mind was made.surely none of the people can make it.Please look around your surroundings, look at the things which fascinate you and observe those things and you will definitely think that someone with enormous power can only make it and that's GOD.Just suppose you are in great danger and you have no way escaping. But in your heart you will have a hope from someone to save you.And that someone is GOD.

Except a YES or a NO,nobody has a definitive clue or a viable idea. So,does it make a difference?Secondly, why is a GOD required? What will happen if HE is not there?Nothing. The world lives with or without him. That being so,the concept moves in to the realm of individual perception, belief and life practices.LIFE was important from the beginning and shall remain so for millions and millions years to come.We all get only get ONE life, and the sensible thing to do would be to live it well.

Some say, God is an experience - So, you cannot portray God in the form of human beings.

Some say God is within yourself - So, individual are the best to realise god and to think of God.

Some say God is a super power and takes avatars - So, people portray god in the form of idols and worship to get divine blessings/free from evils.

Some say God is non-existence - So people who believe this concepts are called atheists. World has evolved by itself and will continue to do so. These are natural forms.

Depending on what you believe, God is there or not.

Personally, I believe in idol worship and also believe god is within me (as I have experienced few times).

The answer is: Do you think there is God??

God resides amongst us, in our hearts and in our brains. If you believe there is God then there is , if you don't believe there is God there isn't. I personally believe that God is there, but I don't just sit and wait for God to help me, instead before performing a job I pray to God that God helps me out and may give me success and with that initiative I carry on. The result is SUCCESS. So ya, God is there and believe in God and carry on , success will be yours! GOODLUCK! :-)

The better question is "does God (or some sort of higher power) exist?" My answer: I don't know and neither does anyone else. Either way, people should be kind and decent to each other, so why get hung up on something we'll probably never know?

We don't need to think if there is God. We just need to know. And that's because we are Him. We are all a part and parcel of the same Supreme Absolute. We just need to feel. We need to go within ourselves and know who the real "I" is. Know that you "ARE". First try to find the root of this "I", then you will know if there is a God. First, we need to develop unconditional love, and compassion and also tolerance and universal brotherhood. As you work towards developing these virtues, you would automatically know if there is a God. Because that which lives within you, pervades not only this universe, but the infinite universes that exist apart from this one. Once you know that it is "That" which lives in you lives in all the animals, plants, trees, rocks, mountains, rivers, planets, stars and solar systems and everything else, then you would know if there is a God.
Finally, I don't "think" there is God, I feel everyday that I am a part and parcel of Him. It is he who walks through me, talks through me, sees through me and acts through me. (Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda)
God bless you!!!

I think that there are many gods. Man created them to explain the world around him. I also believe that all these gods are merely parts of one being...an universal consciousness if you will. We give our gods human traits to better understand what would normally be beyond our scope of understanding. That's why you see gods that are "jealous" or "vengeful" or "beautiful".

I also believe that all things are connected through the universal consciousness....but you didn't really ask about that. =)

I don't know but the evidence is not looking to good for the existence of a God.

There is God; for all the harmony in nature can only come from an intelligent Being and not from chaos.
