I'd hardly call it "comfy". I just flew from Shanghai to Chicago yesterday and my butt and back are still sore. The movie choices were so-so, I'd seen them all before. The food was barely edible. Pretty much standard for the industry.

I fly about 250,000 miles a year, mostly long haul flights to Europe and Asia. I use my FF miles for upgrades to Business Class whenever possible. The seats are MUCH more comfortable, they nearly fully recline, and the food is actually pretty decent. Oh yeah, the booze is free as well. The movie choices are usually the same in all classes, but most airlines now hand out Bose headsets in First and Business Class. In economy you'll get cheap earbuds that sound like crap. Bring your own.

I follow the airline industry closely and I haven't read anything out of the ordinary when it comes to the service on Iberia Airlines the major airline of Spain. I have read lately that the airline is for sale or likely to be sold. Air France/KLM already has a 20% stake in the airline and is rumored to be trying for a take over.

Yeah well Iberia has heard alot of bad things about YOU too and is stocking up on stale peanuts, bad movies from the 70's, and putting the REAL old seats in the plane you'll be on. This will be the first overseas trip for the whole flight crew, and they are taking out all the barf bags too, so put some used McDonalds bags in your carry on luggage.

They are the cheapest way to get to Spain for a reason. If you have direct flight, my experience is that your bags will most likely make it. Don't count on inflight entertainment so bring your iPod, movie player, etc. Not a bad idea to bring some food too.

you have about a %40 chance of having your bags when you get to Spain, really my family had almost ten trips there and back last year and always no bags
