The lesson is that if God tells you to do something that sounds absurd...do it.
As for that idiot who talked about homosexual reproduction should not speak of that which you have no idea. Noah's sons had wives.
Are we all related? Yes. Do you think that someone who could create the heavens and earth could pull that off AND have a diverse gene pool?
All these narrow minded answers try to put God in a box.
Lorraine...you just proved that you do not know enough to speak intelligently about this topic. Adam and Eve were not brother and sister. Eve was made from the SAME FLESH. God removed a rib from Adam to create Eve. There is NOTHING to say brother and sister.

The story of Noah's ark is an illustration of the end times. When the Lord covered the earth in a flood and God saved the righteous Noah and his children....it is a comfort to us as christians because Jesus Christ is our ark. And when this whole world is completely anihilated, Jesus will save us. Not one of us christians will be left behind. Thank you, Jesus!

There are many lessons to be learned from Noah.
I esp. like that in the huge storm of the world, we are held safe in the Arc. Being the arc of God. That He seals us in. He keeps us afloat.
It was interesting to me that at that point the 8 people in that boat where all believers together in one place. That when they prayed it was the entire kingdom of heaven on earth.
And that we are still all on kingdom, still in one boat sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Of course. Firstly, genetic researchers have proved that all humans are genetically related and this coincides with the Bible story. But in my mind the main lesson to be learned is that God does not intend to wipe out his creation in any circumstance and in fact, since he said that he would never bring such an awful calamity to men again tells me that God, as well as us, is evolving into a better Being. I think God needs us as much as we need him.

Yea, we all come from God.
Or did you think magically 1 million SAPIENS evolved on the same day in the same area of the world. Wow, that's VERY astronomical odds!
Neanderthal is considered an animal. Some scientists think MAN mated with them. That means your blood line MATED with what is technically termed an ANIMAL. You were once BEASTIAL!
You like that concept!
There were no other Spiens around so your grandaddy mated with a Chimp becasue he needed sex badly.

Well, yes, but if you buy that, then we're all related because we're all descended from Adam and Eve.
Or you could take the scientific theory of common descent and hold that we, as members of the same species, are all related to each other and, most likely, every other living thing on earth.

St. Paul talks quite a bit and relates it to the Body. We are one body, one body in Christ. Have you not heard Christians call each other brother or sister.....
Yes, we all are related.
