Taking two of every animal and having enough food for them to eat for 375 days is interesting. Do you realize that you need extra food brought to feed the live animals to be used for food? How many people were on the ark exactly, they must have worked for 375 days straight with no rest at all, tough for a guy 600 years old I would think.
And for those of you who do not remember reading in the Bible that they were on the ark for that long, read it again. It clearly states that they were in the ark on his 600th year, 2nd month, 17th day and left on his 601st year 2nd month, and 27th day they left the ark (Genesis chapter 7 & 8). Do you know how much room all that food would need? Do you realize what an elephant eats on a daily basis?

Mariamar. Yes I know how big the ark was, it was 300 cubits long by 50 cubits wide by 30 cubits iin height. Each cubit is approx 45cm in length. Hence 135m (length) x 22.5m (width) x 13.5m (high). To store all that food with the animals and ensuring that certain ones do not mix, etc, the size is too small.
Obviously you have never been around or grew up around large animals.

Ha ha ha ha ha, so true. That story was ripped out of the story of Gilgamesh from old Babylonian tablets. Just like the rest of Christianity, it was stolen from another religion. When are they going to realize that? There is nothing feasible about the Noah story, but they can not believe that. The whole Bible is true, all those amazing things happening back when, but in today's world, nothing like that ever happens. Makes you wonder why........either they made up the stories (most likely story) or God (if there is one) is dead.

Not to mention the fact that there are something like 10 million species of animals on this planet, some of which can only survive in certain climate conditions. I wonder how Noah managed to create these varying climates with such limited tools and resources. I also wonder how Noah managed to shovel and unload all of the excrements. I also wonder how the global flood which mixed salt and fresh water managed to not kill of all of the aquatic life that can only survive in either fresh or salt water. I'm amazed at all the miracles that must have taken place in order for this event to have occurred.

Well a lot of things that can't be explained happened in the bible. God made manna fall from the flippn sky so go figure. There was also another story where there was only a small amount of bread and fish to go around and it ended up feeding thousands. He always gets the job done we may not know exactly how he did it but he does. My dad was dead for 55 minutes and came back without life support. I don't know how that happened either all I can do is say "Hey God thanks, now I can go over to his house today and see him!"

Don't ya know? They ate the dinosaurs. That's why they all disapeared.

Seriously, not all Christians take stories like that as absolute literal truth. At a minimum there are unstated details that would be necessary to make the stories make sense. Luckily, it doesn't really matter, because the point of much of the Bible is not to provide a history of facts, but a history of faith.

Do you know how much room the ark had?

"The Ark measured 300x50x30 cubits (Genesis 6:15), which is about 140x23x13.5 metres or 459x75x44 feet, so its volume was 43,500 m3 (cubic metres) or 1.54 million cubic feet. To put this in perspective, this is the equivalent volume of 522 standard American railroad stock cars, each of which can hold 240 sheep."

okay, so if the people were on the ark for all that time (which I'd have to check on...) since when do we mere humans doubt God's provision!? HE made the world for crying out loud, he could replenish the food on the ark easily if he wanted to. And age back then was irrelevant, the tree of life in the Garden of Eden was still in the blood of Adam's descendants and it caused them to live longer. So his strength is a non-issue.

okay, some of the stories in the bible are parables, told to make a point. this may not have been a true story. but also, back in Jesus' time, there was not alot of land discovered so getting 2 of every animal is not as farfettched as you would think. People did not travel far from lakes or rivers because thats what kept cities alive. also if there was a flood, fish would hae survived. you can eat fish...right?

It's a miracle. Just like Jesus provided for the crowd (see John 5-6) and God multiplied the food, God provided for every being on the ark because Noah was doing His will. When we trust in God, He always provides what we need.

Because God also told them to take "every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for the them (the animals)" Genesis 6:21. And Noah did everything just as God commanded him. Genesis 6:22.

Noah obeyed God and God supplied.
