Maybe you perceive us as 'weird' because we grew up learning how to do math with a pencil, no television, developing space exploration.
A pioneer or sumthin (?) well I walked to school and it was well over a mile and in Virginia it was 2 miles down a dirt road and then 17 miles on a bus. I lived on a 6,000 foot mountain by myself for a year at 48 and no running water no TV or Phone or heat source other than wood, also the only way to cook. When you do something note worthy let us old **** know we will be interested to see what it is.

Some of these old people were pioneers in a sense. America wasn't always color TV's, i-pods, computers, dish washers and fuel effecient cars. Heck I'm verging on old and I remember first getting a color TV, transistor radios, the first launches to the moon, the first electric typewriters. So many advancements were made in just the past few decades that I suppose it's hard for some to think it wasn't always like this for everyone for a real long time.
You'll get old and you'll be just as "crazy" except you'll also be alot wiser.....tread with respect. They deserve it. Listen sometime....you might learn something.

You will also be crazy to the young people of your time, they will think you have lost your mind it is like that with every generation, you sound like a very immature person with little compassion for elders that have some mental problems, I work with seniors and most are not like that, just sometimes a little crabby but you would be to if your body was falling apart. You said (if) you get old, I can guarantee you, you will be old that is a promise. You will end up an old fart just like all the other old farts.

Yes, but most of us can spell. Just hold on for a minute, Daniel Boone and David Crockett are at the door.
If you get old, you hope you are not that crazy. Well puppy, you are off to a bad start.
Addendum:
Maybe by pioneers you mean people who invented or started something: Jonas Salk, Robert Jarvik, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elvis, the Beatles, John Fogarty, Walt Disney, and many others that are either old or dead.

Either you will get old or die young. My great grandmother has dementia. She has told us that she is too young to have grandkids and yet she has GREAT grandkids. It is sad to see them this way but, it is not their fault.
Definition of dementia:
The loss of intellectual functions (such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning) of sufficient severity to interfere with a person’s daily functioning. Dementia is not a disease itself but rather a group of symptoms that may accompany certain diseases or conditions. Symptoms may also include changes in personality, mood, and behavior.
I know a lot of great old people and even if they think they are a pioneer they still could teach you a whole lot more than just a few things.

Some of the crap you do looks pretty wierd to us older folks, too, kiddo.
"if i get old i hope i dont be crazy like that "
You will get old, or you will die, those are the options. And, yeah, you can expect no more respect from the younger generation then, than you're giving the older generation now.
Probably less.

Old people are set in their ways. They've lived a long hard tough road. We young-uns have no right to judge them, and I'll bet we're more naive, than they.
