Depends how sore. Sometimes the best way to get rid of the soreness is to exercise. But be careful, go slow, and STRETCH! You get sore because your muscles were lacking oxygen, so they produce lactic acid, which many times collect in your joints and muscles, making them sore for a few days.
Working out the following day or day after helps to get rid of it.
Just make sure the pain is not a pulled or torn muscle ( you will definitely know the difference).

To be sore is nothing bad. Your muscles are just getting used to it. When you have exercised for a period of time you will not get sore anymore. It is not dangerous to exercise when you are sore, if that is what you mean. It just gives you an indication that you have used muscles that is not used to be used. You can always exercise upper body one day and lower body the next and then alternate that way. If you do then the other part of the body gets to rest one day. It is in resting stage that you actually build muscles. If you do intermediate exercise then to work out 5-6 days a week isn't a problem at all, not even if you are sore.

The soreness that you feel is lactic acid that builds up when you are working out. It's good that it's there, that helps your muscles repair and get into shape, but it's also good to move around and help it move out of your system. You do not want to lift weights day after day, but you do want to go for a walk, or do some light cardio routine. That will help you not feel so sore. Also a good stretch before and after you exercise is necessary as well as a good warm up and cool down.

keep it up cus the soreness means you recieved a nice workout the more you workout the less pain you will be in. Take your time however you are in pain so dont over do. maybe take a break between workouts or switch the up part of your body like your arms and abs one day then the lower part like the legs and butt the next day that way your whole body is not sore all at once. good luck

It's best to let your muscles rest for at least a day after exercising or working out (except your stomach). If you're still a little sore, and think it may be too painful to try, then don't do it. If you don't think it'll bother you, then go for it. Personally, I think after the first day of rest, it just depends on how you feel.

you should stretch before and after a workout. also, if you are sore just from weights, the best way to make it go away is to keep doing it. sorry. Now, If you have a sports injury or something, you better consult a doc. Also, be sure not to do the same muscle groups on consecutive days.

nope. you still need to work out again. the best thing to do is to work out every other day. see, what happens is that after you work out, you break down the muscle and the next day you're sore because it's in a way growing back. the day after the only way to get rid of the soreness is to work out.

IF your just starting an exercise routine, it is normal to feel sore that very first day. continue the next day only if you are sure its nothing serious.
IF your sore from daily exercise routines (day by day), you may want to take a day off. u never want to overdo it, especially this time of year.
good luck

You can exercise. I would go very easy with whatever you do... the steady blow flow will allow the body to flush out byproducts and help the body recuperate from your previous rigorous day of exercise.
