Note that electronic stability control (ESC) systems are so important that the IIHS won't even test vehicles that don't have it because the vehicles will automatically rate lower than those that do.

ESC is the biggest safety advance since seat belts.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, or any Jeep for that matter. I own a 96 and use it both on and off road. I've never felt unsafe in my Jeep, and its very stable going around corners and for towing.

People need to realize that they're a truck not a car, and that driving around a corner in an SUV going 40+ MPH is going to cause a rollover if you don't know how to handle the vehicle.

the vehicle is only as safe as the "Loose Nut" behind the wheel. if the driver has an IQ of stupidity, then no vehicle will be safe. Happy Motoring.

volvo has good safety marks...european cars generally have safe marks...but they are alot more expensive...if you are rich then its no big deal...
