I am on weight watchers and their website has some excellent selections. I particularly like having a half of a bagel with light cream cheese and a piece of fruit...usually a banana. I find that I need the carbs in the morning to get my brain going because I am a teacher and since I teach health and PE, I need to be able to have that carb going. A half a bagel is good because it gives you just enough carbs to kick start you, but it's not so much that you end up feeling bloated.
If you would really like to stay away from carbs as much as possible, you can buy bread that is not made with flour. You can get bread like that at Safeway, Superstore, Costco...wherever you shop...you just have to look for it. Trust me...it's AWESOME...I love it...it has a ton of taste and it's so filling. it's made with grain and it's filling. Put some peanut butter or cream cheese (or some other protein as protein is important in the morning and keeps you full longer) have that with a banana or other piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt along with a nice large glass of water and you will feel great...full, great, and full of energy...
Remember, if you aren't the type of person that eats a lot of breakfast, it will take a few days of being consistent with eating your breakfast in order for you to start benefiting from the energy levels. If you don't normally eat breakfast your body is used to "fasting" for close to 15 hours so it goes into panic mode every morning...you will have to force your body to get used to it, but once you do you'll notice a big difference. When you start waking up hungry, you know you're doing great!!
Good luck...

foods without sugar are always good for breakfast so that you don't start off your day with a sugar spike. Some ideas are an omelet with eggs, spinach, or tomato or whatever other veggies you have handy. Another idea is a natural yoghurt and add some almonds or a banana or bits of an apple to it (DO NOT GET LOW FAT-ASPARTAME YOGHURTS! THOSE THINGS ARE TERRIBLE FOR YOU!) Some other ideas are eating left over whole grain rice and stir-fry for breakfast. I know it doesn't sound like a breakfast food, but it's 10 times better than starting your day off with cocoa puffs and milk. Just try to eat organic, whole foods for breakfast and you'll notice that you feel better.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMFY7
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

A banana, a honey bran muffin, and later a cup of coffee. First you eat the banana, on an empty stomache wait about 1/2 hour for this banana too digest, than go ahead and eat the honey bran muffin, and your coffee or tea with it. The banana will give you so much energy for your whole entire day if eaten on an empty stomache. Banana's are also known to get rid of depression, and will give you a mental high naturally. Try it!! You wont regret it I promise you this!! You will have so much energy, and be feeling mentally wonderful as well !! Good Luck , to you hun!! Smile!!!

hard boil some eggs the night before and let them hang out in the fridge until morning. eat 1 hb egg, a bowl of kellogs all bran extra fiber (1 serving = 1/2 c) with 1/3 c skim milk in it. that will run you exactly: 158 cal. another option is to get some quick made oatmeal (plain) make 1/2c with skim milk instead of water...side of fruit with it...this equals about 210 cal depending on what fruit you eat and how much of it you eat. yet ANOTHER option could be a smoothie...try this:
1/4 cup low fat vanilla yogurt (with no high fructose corn syrup in it)
1/2 cup skim milk
1 tsp peanut butter (organic/natural...no hydrogenated oils in it)
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 tsp vanilla whey protein powder (gnc.com)
3 ice cubes
dump in blender and drink! it is 186 cal.

A protein / meal replacement shake would be ideal. Otherwise, oatmeal is very good for you as is fruits. A small meal is all you need, even a piece of fruit with an apple is good.
