I mean what other negative qualities does it lead to: alienation from others, lonelieness or what if you are a prideful person.
If I have to spell it out further, maybe then you are the One.

It leads to loneliness, bad friends, worse acquaintances, and either extreme success or depravity. Because if you are everything you think you are, you have what it takes to get to the top by stepping on others. But if you are wrong, and overestimate yourself, then you will fall further and further to the bottom- others will be stepping on you!

What is a healthy self-image? Can we even see self as is with out tainting it through our righteous visions?

Pride is a good thing. False pride a bad thing. Where dose one end and the other begin?

And my nose hair is longer then yours see how nicely it grows.

Who am we again? What are we doing here? Where are we going with this?

Once we wanted to want less then we got lazy now we want more, more to be proud of.

When we are successful our pride grows. When we are humiliated and fail our pride deflates back down to size.

Silly things like feeling really shouldn’t stop us from reaching for the good things, fallowing the good smells as it where.

It is all attitude or 90% so. Keeps the poker face till the last, just remember we really are bluffing.

They don’t need to know, shhhhh don’t tell.

I guess I am having a hard time with this answer because I view consciousness as a natural phenomenon, similar to fire. Is one fire better then another?

Well, it could lead to elitism or narcissism. But, what it will lead to these days is the loss of friends and quality associates. I have a friend that is in the process of creating a friendless future right now due to his pomposity and his pride. I just hope that he doesn't ostracize himself completely any time soon.
