I love the Gospel. How about you?

(P.S., I asked this way because I wanted to see how many "non-LDS" would decide to answer.)

bigondrums: I know what I'm in for. But you know what? That shouldn't stop me from asking a question like this! We need to band together, ya'll!

Jill S: Latter-day Saints believe Jesus was our Savior. JW's believe he was just a really good guy and a prophet.

I love the Gospel, the Church, the Priesthood, Joseph Smith, Gordon B., the Quorum of the Twelve, the scriptures, the Savior, and my loving Heavenly Father.
I'm so grateful for the the truths and happiness this church has brought to my life. I'm proud to say that my wife and I are sealed forever and we just had our first child, Asher McKay Garcia, born under the covenant.

I've been a lifelong member (as has several generations of my family on both sides; even had some ancestors - my three greats-grandfather and his parents live two houses down from Joseph Smith & family in Nauvoo!). When I was younger, I did kinda wonder a bit. How does one KNOW that the Church is true? You always hear about it from other members, but how do you know for yourself? Then, when I was 15, I was at Scout summer camp, and it was raining hard the first part of that week (unusual for that part of California in July), and my tent partner and I said a prayer Tuesday night that the rain would let up so that we could have a good time. Then, I felt it. An overwhelming peaceful sensation that everything would be all right. I'd never felt anything like it, but it was right along the lines of the feelings others said they'd experienced when they felt the Holy Ghost. I've felt the Holy Ghost three other times since then (including one time when I was with the missionaries when they had a woman and her young daughter pray, in accordance with Moroni's challenge, to know if the Book of Mormon was true; the feeling of the Holy Ghost bearing witness of its truthfulness was so thick you could almost cut it with a knife!), but that was the first, definate time I KNEW for myself it was all true. (And yes, just for the record it stopped raining at scout camp early the very next morning, and we all had a blast the rest of the week!) I think the Church has made a very posative impact on my life, and the life of my family. I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if it wasn't for the Church and its teachings. I think I'm a much more caring and giving person than I'd be otherwise. I'm also kind of saddened by some of the negative things said about the Church (the important thing to remember is that the vast majority of the anti-Mormon stuff you'll enounter in places like this aren't even remotely true, or, while technicaly correct, are deliberately misrepresented by people outside the church to make it seem like it's saying something completely different than what's actually meant). I wish I could share those good feelings from the Holy Ghost (to say it's a warm fuzzy feeling doesn't even begin to do it justice) with those people, so they, too, could know of the Church's truthfulness with as much conviction as I do. The knowledge that God loves you and cares about you is one of the most amazing things you'll ever experience! If you have questions, by all means ask! Ask the missionaries, ask other LDS people you know off-line, ask the LDS people here. We're always happy to tell you about what we believe and why we believe it.

I love the gospel and the atonement. Without them, my family would be in shambles. I am so grateful for what the Savior went through for us, so that my family and I all have a chance to repent of our mistakes and have eternal life with Him. I am so thankful for Joseph Smith and the Restored Gospel, so that I can know that my family is an eternal one through the blessings of the temple. It gives me so much comfort in these troubling times while I am worried about my two children's future and my baby brother deployed in the Marines. Having the gospel helps me to have hope for the future, as I know the Lord's Kingdom and Plan will triumph in the end. I just have to be strong, have faith and endure, and I'll have eternal joy with my family.

It has been a blessing to me and my families lives. I love the fact that wherever I go, I know that I will find an extended family at the LDS church. The Gospel has brought me such joy and I love it too. I can't imagine where my life would have gone and what differences my life would have in it now, had I not joined the church when I was younger. Thanks for asking!

I love the LDS Church, and don't know where I would be today without it. I firmly believe that the Church has been good for me. It has given me the knowledge that I need to live a good life, and raise a family. I joined when I was in my 20's, and I've been a member for over 30 years now. It is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I love the Gospel, except I'm just having a hard time understanding whats been written in the Book of Mormon, but I suppose I'm kinda the same with the Bible, and I grew up with just the Bible....

I've recently had my patriarchal blessing and I cant wait to see the hard copy, I'm so excited!!!

Love it .. Live it and Breath it... Lifetime member... My family is extremely blessed.

As for Imasis.... please learn something about what you are talking about before you preach against it. I could easily put the say... Catholic Church in all the spots you thought so witty to put the LDS church... it would also make more sense as well with all of the recent "Priest activities" and the desire of that church to include more and more sinful behavior such as homosexuality.

I believe that there are millions of good people in every christian and in many non-christian based churches out there. I have a love for them as I believe they truly are my brothers and sisters. I am eager to answer their questions and help them in any way possible. "by their fruits, ye shall know them". So please... talk to someone about the LDS church... someone from the LDS church... you are big enough to make your own opinion vs. listening to "hearsay" from those whom have no understanding. You may even ask me any questions you want. I look forward to the opportunity.

yes I love the gospel, but as an LDS don't you believe that Jesus and Satan were brothers? And that Jesus is not our Savior but just a great man and prophet? You can love the gospel but if you don't believe that Christ is your Savior, you have missed the mark.
