That is an excellent idea!!! Not only is he special to the two of you, but your wedding guest will be honored to witness such a close knit family. I think it would be emotionally beautiful.

I think its a wonderful idea and that is exactly what we are going to do as my fiance also wants my son to be best man and I want him to walk me down the aisle. It has given my son a since of pride to be so involved in the ceremony. We are even doing a family medallion ceremony too. Congrats.

I think it's your wedding and if you and your fiance are happy with the idea then it would be just fine. It's nice that you want to get married as a family and include your son in the process.

I think it is great. I am having my father and 10 year old son walk me down the aisle and then he is going to stand in between my fiance and his best man. Not only that, but he is going to be dressed just like him so they will stand apart from the groomsmen and best man. When we exit he is going to walk with my neice/his cousin who is 8. I was going to have a jr. bridesmaid to walk with him, but he thought it would be nice to walk with his cousin. Best wishes.

Sounds fab to me....only thing is if your hoping for your son to be a witness not sure if he's old enough for that yet, but that's just a signature what he'll be doing is far more important. Sounds like he's gonna be a very proud young man....enjoy.

that's a great idea. i have been to several weddings where a child has given their mother away. and if he is the best man then of course he should take his place next to the groom. hope you have a wonderful wedding day. congrats and good luck with all the details!!
