Hi! I'm a teenager and I have hundreds of spots and blackheads etc. All that nasty stuff. I have tried all the products, tea tree oil, Clearisil, Clean&Clear ....everything! And none have worked, my spots just keep on coming. Any tips for a spotty soul?

If you still have acne, you want to find a good facial cleanser. Don’t use normal soap that’s the worst thing you can do for your face a dermatologist will tell you that!! When you say “spots” are you saying your acne is leaving scars behind once they go away? If that’s the case and you have a lot of them you should go see a dermatologist. When I was younger I had this problem and went on an antibiotic to get rid of the scaring. I sill have this happen every once-n-a-while. And I use a product called Tend skin that’s actually for ingrown hairs but it works for getting rid of my scaring, takes a little time but it works, also help to dry out acne. Also I just bought Neutrogena spot treatment and really works to spot treat white heads and seems to be helping with the discolored skin too. But the most important thing you want to do is find a good cleaner for your skin and you want to exfoliate as well at least two times a week!!! St. Ives seems to be pretty good and it’s just under $4.00 for a container. And if you want you could try a facial where they will extract the blackheads. I know some spas have started focusing on facials for teenagers don’t know if they will do extractions on your skin but the facial it's self might help you. And try not to touch your face alot. This will add to all kinds of issues. good luck.

I have heard that Freederm from the pharmacy is good. Also remember that acne is a part of growing up, some people get it and some don't. I did when I was a teenager, but it went eventually when my hormones settled down. I was told that people that get acne, generally have oilier skin, and as a result get fewer wrinkles in later life. I don't think I have many wrinkles for my age........lots of grey hairs though!

Try not to worry about it too much, just know that it will go eventually. And give that Freederm a try too. Good luck.

Beauticontrol has a fabulous anti-acne skincare line called All-Clear. This product contains both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid which are proven anti-acne ingredients. Most product lines only have one of these key ingredients making them less effective. You need to be very consistent with any skincare regimen. Eating properly is also important. Alot of skin care probs are simply related to hormones and since you said you are a teenager, I am assuming this is a big part of your problem. Check out the All-Clear line on my website www.beautipage.com/rebeccagoates. In addition to the skincare there are things such as the blemish duo which contains powerful blemish gel on one side and a concealer on the other.

The best thing to do is leave the branded stuff like clearisil etc alone and just use basic soap and water.I was like you,i suffered from acne from a young age and tried everything to get rid of them but it was useless. So wash your face in COLD water with soap in the morning and lunchtime if you can, and then before bed. What you eat also has alot to do with it.Try and avoid greasy things like crisps.I cant eat crisps anymore because they give me spots.Avoid chocolate and chips, and most importantly drink loads and loads of water.Hope they clear up.x

for all those people who have said for you to try spot cream/gel,dnt listen to them.
my advice is to first go into a sauna for a good 10 minutes to open your pores, ooze the blackheads off and refresh your skin.
secondly, the best way to get rid of spots is to really drink the water down,at least 6 glasses a day.it reli works, and you should already see a difference within 2 days of doing so!
trust me,Oxy skin care has been made especially for spots, and they reli do work.buy the exfoliating wash, the wipes (handy for school when you need a quick refreshment) and the treatment moisturiser.
and using cotton wool, dab tea tree oil onto problem areas before you sleep to heal scarring while you sleep
good luck and i hope iv helped! xxx

Use an aspirin mask or toner to exfoliate & keep pores clear. Be sure to use UNCOATED aspirin for these recipes.

Crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.

Mix half a teaspoon of crushed tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask and aloe vera gel.

Hold 6 aspirin in palm, and slowly drip water onto them until they fizzle and dissolve! Once dissolved, add 2-3 drops of honey into it and mix it around with finger. Apply to face. Keep it on 15-20 mins.

Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.

Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tea tree oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.

Toner:
8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin
or
mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil w/ 4 uncoated aspirin

A clay mask is the best for black head control. If you can't reach your whole back get a small head spatula to help you spread it. 3x a week should show results in less than 2 weeks. Good Luck.

I used to get spots when I was a teenager and still got them in my early 30's until I realised I was intolerant to cows milk. I stopped eating/drinking it (not too difficult really) and now my skin's fantastic!

Burt's Bees tomato complexion soap followed by a good moisurizer - I love the burt's bees marshmallow vanishing cream but I don't like their other moisturizers for daytime.
