I just had a tattoo done last Friday at a new shop, I asked the shop NOT to put it on RateMyInk.com, the tattoo is of a fairy sitting on a toadstool reading a book. Her face turned out really bad, she looks like a man almost, I hate it! I have already talked to my regular artist and he said to let it heal and he can fix it. What do I do about that horrible pic being on there? That shop really thinks it looks great. I just cant wait to have it fixed! Should I call the shop and ask them to remove it? Please give intellegent opinions on this. And for the haters, this is my 25th tattoo, my skin is already covered and I dont care what happens when I'm 80!

My husband set up the appt and paid for it as a surprise for me, he thought one shop was just as good as another, he knows better now!

i would call them, or if it's close enough to you go there and tell them that you are not at all happy with the tattoo and you would appreciate it if they removed it from their site. it's not something that you are proud of and are already in the process of fixing.

also, you may be able to complain to ratemyink about them using a picture of your tattoo, and may be able to get it removed that way.

I wonder if other people bash the hell out of it if they will just remove it because they are getting negative comments. I put one up for ya already. I would wait a few days and let us all say bad things about it so they know it's not the best face job then call and have them remove it. You don't want them to think it's good and tattoo some other customer and give them a jacked up face too.

I would be pissed and I would tell the tattoo place that they have lost your business and you are going to tell all your friends and family they suck and that will get their attention, especially if you have lots of tattos and they know you do business alot. I personally think this would of been a great tattoo if she didn't look like a man, like you said, and it's a little too much of the same color. The toadstool would of looked cool if it was yellow or just another color to bring out the tat more.

I don't mean to sound so crude, but your faerie (actual spelling) doesn't come out just right. Here's my suggestion: ditch the toadstool; faeries represent "essence/aura". Secondly, add more colors; just having one color doesn't blend well. Finally, with a faerie tattoo; use elemental signs. The Four elements (Water, Earth, Air & Fire) might work out the best.

P.S. Never trust an artist that can't give you what you want.

The problem is that in their paper work, that I am sure you signed before you could get the tattoo done, it states that they can use pictures of your tattoo anyway they want. You should have a copy of it. Read it and see what it says. If I am correct about it then there is nothing you can do. Sorry, that really sucks.

Of course you should call the shop. Not only is this inconiderate of them, but as you requested that they not post it, that means that it is technically an illegal act. Nothing can be posted anywhere without the consent of the person.

Good luck with getting it fixed; I'm sure it will turn out great!

Def call the shop and have them to take it down. The artist must be realy proud if they put it on there after you told them not to. I would like to see it and know who did it. Can you email me the link? Sucks u r not happy with it. No matter how many you have already, you still want to be happy with all of them.

I wouldn't hesitate to call the shop and tell them to take it down...now. They don't have a release from you to post the pic. You OWN the tattoo AND you specifically requested that they not post it. Let'em have it with both barrels!

Ever notice how idiots like Errands post venom and hatred and then you click on their profiles and they allow neither IM or email??? I don't think it looks as bad as all that but I can see how you wouldn't be pleased with it.

I would definately tell the shop to remove it all together because you asked them not to put it up there in the first place. It may be their design, but it's your skin which makes it your right to have it shown or not.
