"El condicional" is the verb tense that translates in English (usually) with "would".

I would go to the movies. = Yo iría al cine.

He was probably in the house. = Probablemente estaría en la casa.

We would like to eat a sandwich. = Nos gustaría comer un sándwich. (You can also use "emparedado" instead of "sándwich," if you prefer.)

You would know the answer. = Tú sabrías (Usted sabría) la respuesta.

They were probably talking about the class. = Probablemente estarían hablando de la clase.

its a tense that representes something you would do with a condition, like "i would"

i would go to the movies - Iría a las películas
He was probably in the house - Probablemente estaría en la casa.
We would like to eat a sandwich - Nos comeríamos un bocadillo
you would know the answer - Sabrías la respuesta (or sabríais la respuesta, in plural)
they were probably talking about the class - seguramente estarían hablando de la clase
