my parents won't turn the a.c on and it is like 99 digreese here and im scared for my cat because she has so much fur and she might have a heat stroke. what should i do

I think 99 degrees is pretty high. Do you have a thermometer reading for inside the house?
Fur on mammals is an insulator from both extreme heat and cold so cats and dogs can generally be comfortable if you (humans) are comfortable. So your family and the cat can be in danger if the temperature is too extreme.
It does not take a lot of electrical power to bring the inside temperature down to 95 or 90 which would be best for the cat and you and your parents.

TURN ON THE AC!!! Cats do in fact have a high tolerance, and really enjoy the heat and sun... but heat stroke is always a huge possibility for cats or any animals. If it is uncomfortable to you, then it probubly is to her/him.

I turn the AC on for my cats whenever it's 75 degrees or more. Tell your parents that your cat's life is more important than a few extra dollars!

what is the temp in your house? if you are concerned, talk to your parents and tell them that the cat is suffering. you can put the cat infront of a fan and put some rubbing alcohol on the pads of the feet and tips of the ears and that will help cool her off.

properly do it being that your place. My sister leaves the AC on all day purely so she will walk right into a cool living house. How bout it takes all of four minutes to relax living house down, yet you will somewhat waste 8 hours of electrical energy?

I just convinced my hubby to turn ours on today because of the cat. It is going to be 90 today and I said the cat has fur and she is hot....and suffering....please can we turn it on. He finally agreed....

Well you need to try to convince your parents to turn the ac on but if you cant then i suggest you shave it

your cat can die if the ac is not on please have your mom or your dad put the ac on because if hot out side its crazy that
its not on do you live in phoenix
