lol...i don't care anymore. The real reason is unknown because many ideas about causes are debated. It seems to me that America doesn't want to know the truth....they want to believe the reason was for national security, and thus they have the right to tear up Iraq. Oh well

From a Desert Storm vet, the real reason is we should have taken Saddam out in 91 and we most likely wouldn't be there now, everyone is blaming the wrong Bush.

Many different factions not getting along due to religious outlooks/and different values. Of course it's deeper than what I can say here in just a few minutes. What I can say is they will never really get along. Saddam kept them in check by brutal force. Maybe someday they can find another to keep the peace. ( Of course Saddam ruled by brutal force) Maybe that is what it takes.

The real reason we are in this war is to keep us here.. in America safe. After sept. 11 everyone wanted to go over to Iraq and kill all of the terrorists.. but now everybody wants to pull out... and bring the soliders home. Now don't get me wrong, I want the soliders home as much as anyone, but if we pull out, then the terrorists are going to come here to america and bomb us again...killing more of our innocent people. It's not for oil, or for bush to avenge his father... it's because they hate us over there.. and they want to kill every America they see...I hate war too, but at times like this... its neccessary.
