Only if he is not trying to keep you a secret from his family or friends. One of my friends is Muslim and she went out with a Sikh man, he would not tell his family about her because he knew that they would disown him. It did not last because he clearly did not love her enough to put her first. This is common for Muslim or Sikh men to hide away a girlfriend that is not of acceptable religion. Some do go on to be in a happy relationships but only if the family accept the different culture or if he is prepared to walk away from his family. Some of the parents of these Indian religions will not even have anything to do with any children that the couple may have.
I know of a Muslim guy who has two children with a christian girl, he has never told his mother of his own kids existance.
I know a Sikh that never held is daughters children because her husband was from a different caste.
I know a Muslim girl who went out with a Sikh guy for five years before he told her he would never marry a non Sikh
I have seen lots of examples of where the girl is expected to change religion.

I used to know a vicar's daughter who married a Sikh gentleman; they married in the UK and then went back to his country for a Sikh wedding, and the vicar even took part in the ceremony, so I guess it's OK.

acceptable by most people of today, but warned against by God, not to be excluding sikhs but because 2 religions mixing together has always led to trouble.

The answer depends on whose opinion carries weight. Acceptable in the eyes of conservative congregations on either side? Probably not.
Acceptable to society in general, pretty much, yes.
Is it advisable for the two of them? Much depends on the rigidity of the belief system of each party. I foresee much conflict unless each is ready to accept the validity of the others faith.

Possibly not allowed by their churches but I think anything that unites 2 different religions is great.
