.........To protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies. Both foriegn and domestic.......that is part of the oath all members of the military take when they enlist. The enemies we are fighting in Iraq are terrorist cells backed by Al-Queda, Hizballah and purportedly Iran/Syria. It was terrorists that struck us in September of 2001. It was terrorists that struck the USS Cole in 2000. It was terrorists that stuck the US embasies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, and it was terrorists that struck Kobar Towers in Saudi Arabia that housed American Marines and Airmen in 1996. And the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 was carried out by, you guessed it, terrorists. If we pull out now, Al-Queda will have a new country as a strong hold with a nearly endless supply of oil to finance their plans of attacking America and its interests. That is why we must not fail.

Good morning, nice that you woke up finally :)

Well, politics is not always that easy. I would recommend that you change perspective now and then when you look at situations. When you find the right perspective, most things usually makes sense.

America is a country like any other country filled with people, beliefs and different needs. If you do some research on what's needed in America you may find that recent events very much make sense.

Like anything else in politics, can't make everyone happy.

9/11 became no longer the 1st terrorist attack by way of far. They hit the twin towers in 'ninety 3 with a motor vehicle bomb planted in the basement storage. additionally, they have attacked embassies, army ships, bases, and a number of of alternative different goals. maximum the time our reaction became to launch some missles and contact it an afternoon. whilst they hit the towers, it made us understand that they had gotten better and we had weaker. by way of easily going to the place they're, we've disrupted the circulate of terorism into the states, accrued new intelligence and confiscated weapons. protecting freedom isn't all approximately speech, yet to have the skill to stay with out the worry. bear in mind presently after the final attack how the financial equipment became on the snapping component, human beings have been afraid the fly, and common individuals had a commonplace stress approximately doing common on a daily basis issues. terrorism isn't approximately death and destruction, yet rather worry and disruption.

See you're one of those people who want the terrorists to win. Or are you already praying to Mecca 5 times a day?

How many cons just told you that?

No, it doesn't, particularly since the terrorists who attacked on 9/11 were primarily Saudi Arabians, not Iraqis. In addition, The Al Qaeda are located primarily in Afghanistan, so why fight in Iraq? Because GWB wished to prove to daddy he could beat Saddam, which daddy left unfinished.

What scares me is in a recent poll, 78% of U.S. Muslims reject suicide attack to support Islam. Which means approximately 22% think it is acceptable. Scary thought. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070522/ts_nm/usa_muslims_poll_dc)

The fact of the matter is that there have been zero successful Al Quaeda attacks on the US since we started going after them and forcing them to fight our soldiers instead of our airline stewardess.

By preventing _your_ death we are protecting your right to " . . . Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. . ."

(And I bet you do not know where my quote came from.)

You're right. It doesn't make any sense.

The whole "We'll fight 'em there so we don't have to fight 'em here" argument is total horse-****, now that we have "ethnic Albanians" (read: Muslims) blowing people away over here.

The fight has already been taken to us. We need to expunge these people from our homeland.

Of course it doesnt.

Its just a stupid mantra to try and convince people that we have to stay in Iraq or else the entire world will explode into flames or something.
