A, When you go to war go with overwhelming strength to end the conflict as soon as possible.

1. thinking that it is possible to fight a military war against ideology. You can't win a military victory against sentiment. there is no United Federation of Terror to sign surrender papers. If Al-Qaeda, an organization that is so loosely organized that "organization" is not quite the right term to begin with, were to disband today, the war would still not be won.

2. Invading a country that was already weak and contained and more importantly, had a low terrorist presence and creating the best recruting pitch terrorism has ever had

I'd say all of the above. Iraq didn't become a terrorist haven until the invasion there. Saddam could have been dealt with in time, but the invasion sapped the resources out of the global war on terror. And then when the invasion and occupation took place, it was handled incompetently. So we have the lethal combination of both poor planning and poor execution.

Not enough troops, handing money out to inside government contractors, Forcing a government on a forgien country, not allowing the soldiers and commanders on the scene to fight the way it should be, trying to rebuild a country while were still at war, and last allowing people like Rosie O'Piggy on national television

Not identifying the enemy,in this case Saudi Arabia it is no accident O.B.L. comes from there.And the attackers come from there,And that all the money that trains and schools them around the world comes from there.Does Bush know that Yes.
