If you don't turn to Jesus now you will feel a loving and just God's wrath.

21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

Deutronomy 32: 21-25

A jealous and proud of it, vain, ego-maniacal, racist, homophobic, cruel and sadistic bully!

my paraphrasing Richard Dawkins description of the Old Testament God, "arguably the most unpleasant character in all of fiction."

Man is blinded to the truth of God's Word, and as a result we see much evil on a large scale across the earth.

Politicians, religions and the law cannot stamp this out.
Their efforts are futile.
The answer to the evil in this world is only found in Jesus Christ. For there is no other Name under Heaven, given amongst men, whereby we might be saved.

Man's greatest need and highest achievement is forgiveness.

Man tho, is without excuse for not knowing God, it says this in Romans chapter 1 v 20, for God has set eternity in the hearts of man.

To whoever reads this: Where will you spend eternity?

Yeah, too bad that was written about the nations back in Joshua's time

Of course, you apply them to today, just like they applied them in Jesus time and thought their redemption was near. I'm not sure, but I think they are still waiting for their "end of the world", just like you

I like how god calls himself "jealous", isn't that an imperfect trait? Or is jealousy a trait of perfection? If so, can I be jealous and call it righteousness ?

Jealousy and wrath are sins,
not characteristics of a "loving and just" God.

Whoever wrote that stuff could benefit from anger-management therapy.

P.S. Deuteronomy has nothing to do with Jesus, as it predates him.

Yeah-loving and wrath are kind of oxymoronic, are they not? This generation isn't more wicked than any other, but memory gets clouded with nostalgia.

I surely hope that you follow everything in the old testament, rather than simply pick and choose. For instance, when's the last time you stoned anyone? Better stop eating shrimp.

Given that this prophecy was more than 3000 years ago, I'll take my chances that this applies to this generation...or indeed any other.

Also given that the Book of Deuteronomy was miraculously and very conveniently found in the Temple (and dealt expressly with whether the priests of the Temple were to handle the lucrative sacrifices as opposed to the rural priests) I have doubts as to its authenticity.

this is a question asked in every generation. I know because I have lived through 4 and have heard naysayers ask it as far back as I can remember. Ask, Ask, Ask, Asked and the beat goes on! In addition consider how long ago the quotes you sight were written and how many generations from then to now?

Well, of course they do. They are already complaining about it.

But is not those who God chooses. it's those who are asking different types of questions. Those that are accurately calling themselves 'agnostics'. They have already humbled themselves to the truth: They say they don't know.

So it's to them that I spend more time with, hopefully. To them I bring the Gospel message, not of death, but of life with God in eternity. You check it out, they are the one's who are being worked on by God, and we have the opportunity to use the power of the Gospel to bring them to the God who is leading them, if we only are ready for what God will have us do.

People now are blinded by technologies and something that makes them feel good. They don't think about God anymore. They just think about God if they need something from Him and after that, sometimes they don't even thank Him after He gave it to them.

In case you haven't noticed god hasn't made an appearance in quit some time. We humans are not scared of imaginary people in the sky.
