you have to be married to have sex. God hates divorce, so most of the time, these people have already committed adultery. The Bible says that if someone marries a divorced woman, he commits adultery. (With the exception of someone whose divorce was the result of an adulterous affair. The partner who was cheated on is free to remarry without it being sin.) Anything else is adultery, and is a sin.

Theoretically, if the only valid reason for divorce is cheating, why would that other spouse want to go back and have sex with them again. If it was hurtful enough for a divorce, I can't see it happening.

Sexual relations are to remain within the bonds of matrimony. You cannot engage in sex with an ex or with a new person after the divorce. The rule is chastity before marriage and fidelity after marriage. In between marriage is the same as before marriage. Sex outside of marriage is either fornication, for the unmarried, or adultery, for those that are married. Men and women need to control their passions and reserve them for their chosen mates.

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. They can and do, before, during, after and between marriages. Mankind has always attempted to distinguish him/herself from animals by confusing the abilitity to reason with the practice of rationalizaing. Sex is base, love is a rationalization and did you ever wonder why "The Thinker" wasn't sculpted performing the act of masturbation?

In Christianity anyone who gets a divorce, except when adultery is involved, is considered an adulterer...God sees you as connected to the first person you married forever, you promised him and them that you would tough it out through better or worse until death did you part, regardless of whether you have moved on or not. The Bible also states that anyone who marries a person who has been divorced is also an adulterer....

No no no...Sex has been designed for the covenant of marriage. Once one is divorced the covenant is broke, only if it is restored (remarriage) can you have sex and have it not be seen as a sin. Sex outside of the covenant of marriage is a sin

Jesus taught that remarriage became incorrect. subsequently I, as a divorced Christian, prefer to stay celibate. Ronald Reagan and John McCain could desire to respond to for his or her own selections. God's plan for marriage is one guy and one woman in a life-time relationship. All sexual intercourse exterior of this bond is sin, be it heterosexual or gay.
