not when consumed in reasonable quantities although they have just about zero nutritional value. they are not much more than a heavily processed carbohydrate

Pretzels themselves are not fattening, however a lot of manufactures dip them in butter, which is--namely Auntie Anne's. Although they are not high in fat, they are high in carbohydrates, which itself can cause you to gain weight.

Yeh, Well they have a lot of salt on them do they not ?

And salt is fattening.

Too much of anything provides excess calories, and is usually converted to fat. You never see a skinny bear.
