Why worship him anyway. Look at all the problems this world has and he doesn't even try to help the children. He has done nothing for us he didn't create me or my parents. Even if we did all come from Adam and Eve the two people he did create they messed up anyway so he really can't be that great if he can't even get two people to listen to him. Why worship (saying he is real)?

randyken, that is what I am talking about we need to pull together but our differant religions don't let us. I know who hurts the children but if there is a god he could save them can't he???

Indeed. Why is it necessary to worship him (her?) even if you do believe. Doesn't god know what your feelings are? Is god so vain and insecure as to require his little creations to worship constantly?

You think too much... how do you know he isn't helping... maybe the devil is taking over society, and we have no clue about it. Maybe there's not much left that god can do, and we're just going to have to wait until Jesus comes for us durring the Rapture.

If there isn't a god, than we aren't very important anyway, so why care about all these problems you speak about in the first place?? You have two options as of now really.

1. Follow society as it is, and bank that 'science' can do EVERYTHING... and just waste away this world or...

2. Follow God, and know that one day he'll take you in and stuff, and let you live with him in happiness for eternity

Even if you think it's b.s. ... i don't really see why you would take option one.... Just be happy with your life.... find god... and have a family when you get older, and keep the love going.

I'm not very religious as of yet, but these are some of the questions that i've been debating for the past few days... I've discovered that god really is the only logical way.

That means you have to follow him, and he's got to be the person you do things for.... just think it over man... but thinking the way you do (or the way your question appears)... it's almost as if you're mad that there isn't enough proof of god.

There isn't proof of nothing, because the wisest man knows he knows nothing at all.... read the bible, follow your heart, and don't let the corruptness of any church give god a bad taste in your mouth... god is god, not a church... FOLLOW SOMETHING!!!

with out a doubt God is real and I have many reasons to know I will tell you of one
miracle he has done for me when I was 19 months old I had Polio I had been running
a very high fever and could not move any thing on my right side my mom and dad took
me to family doctor and he did spinal tap
and told my mom and dad i had to go to
riley childrens hospital in Indianapolis they
did and was told the same and said
that i would have to be admitted but
my dad said we are going to take her
home and to our church and they did
my father (A Minister) and the other
minister both laid hands on my and
anointed me with oil and I got down
off my dads lap and walked to my mom
the next day they took me back to riley
and the doctors were at awe they said
she with out a doubt she had polio and today she has no sign they did another
spinal tap and it was clear there was
over 15 doctors and interns examined me
trying to find a medical answere and they
finally said it had to be the hand of GOD
because nothing else could have happened
medically and know I know some of you are going to say it was a story my parents told
me but you are wrong i went to riley as an adult and it is true there is a GOD in heaven
and all you have to do is aknowledge that
and ask for forgiveness and that Christ
died on the cross for me.....I have several
times in my life that the Lord took care of
and i ask my minister why the Lord has
done so much for me he said because you
believe without a doubt that you will be taken care of kokomo indiana if you want to hear more of what the Lord has done for me...just ask

Your take is interesting, and your question deserves valid answers. I am not a religious fanatic, and I'm not well-educated on Christian faith. I don't read a bible daily, and I don't go to church. I chose to leave churches because of all of the judging & drama & made-up rules that I saw.
I do, however have a really strong faith in a God, and it's not because of anything I learned as a child or in church, or anything anyone has come knocking on my door trying to convince me of.
I believe in a God because of the things have happened in my everyday life.
Problems worked out for me at times in my life when I absolutely didn't deserve any help & didn't want any help from any God.
I was involved in an accident that should have killed me but I came out with scrapes, and when I came back to consciousness I was speaking to "God," to my own suprise & to the amazement of the emergency crew.
It seems that when I am grateful for what I have & I thank my "God" even when I don't get what I want in my life, my problems get taken care of & my husband & I stay afloat in a crazy world full of money problems & gas-hikes & war.
I have sought wisdom from my God, & have become more disciplined & better able to deal with anger, betrayal, and theignorant, narrowminded people in this world.
I'm not saying you have to believe in my God or any God, but I just wanted to offer you an opinion from someone who doesn't spit all the hype & narrowmindedness.
I believe for reasons that I choose, & it is my private relationship that I don't need a church or a priest or anyone else to validate for me. I think we can see real evidence that someone much bigger than us exists, & can help us if we really believe & honestly look for it.

Peace~

My friend, can you see any further than your nose? Have you seen the beauty in this world? You seem to only see the problems created by the devil of this world instead of the beauty of the Creator. He gave those 2 people He created a mind and will of their own and they chose to disobey their Creator. However, He did keep loving us and did many more wonderful things for us such as send His only Son to die for us so we could be redeemed from eternal death.

He deserves my worship.

we both know he isnt real, but you still have to respect their religion, why add gasoline to the fire?... i do hate the "ignorant" christians who are closed minded and narrow headed, but hey if there isnt a God then let the Christians find that out when they die, there are good christians out there that are open-minded and respect other religions, and they are good people and i dont see how believing in a God that helps people is a bad thing only if you interpret it in the right way, its not like in my view they are going to hell if they do. Christianity has caused death and destruction over the centuries, but thats in the past we have to live today and change for the future, and maybe one day we will have peace in this world. im open to every religion even if i dont believe in it, but everyone has there own personal beliefs and you have to respect that. I understand that there are those who try to force their religion on you, but you have to stay true to yourself show them compassion rather than hatred.

There are answers to these questions. But a simple Y!A answer will not suffice. You will have to study for yourself. You might need to ask leaders of different religions. One religion has even posted many of these questions and answers from their theological perspective online. Check out the link below.

Without searching for yourself, you simply can't come to know and believe the answers to these questions... God really does want us to exercise faith and to seek after him.

Yes and bad things happen to good people including children because of Free Will.

We cannot understand the infinite with finite minds and that is where faith comes in.

He knows our future and where we will end up so we trust in Him with our future.

He only has good in mind for us. Therefore, there must be a greater good for the world we cannot comprehend given His infinite knowledge.

I think you have a major assumptive flaw in your reasoning. Who starves children? Who practices racism? Who terrorizes others into submission? People do this to each other.

Incidently, I find it ironic that you ask your Q considering your avatar. Lennon didn't believe in heaven, but he was one of the purest humanists in modern times. Imagine (no pun intended) if we all could accept each others differences of race and creed.

. . one word. .

FREE WILL

Oh and to address another part of your details that is personally important to me. ."Look at all the problems this world has" From EVERY problem (if you can think of an example of where this isn't true. .then e-mail me) there is always something good that comes from it. It may not be a big good things but there is always something good that comes from everything. We should be grateful for our problems. .even though it may not seem that way.
