of course he can, because he's god. so why would anyone think that he is the only one? wouldn't it make sense to think all the other gods are real too, even if you want to think that your god created them?

so please stop telling people with different gods than yours that they aren't real

The answer to your question is yes and no. When creation manifested you "its" spirit into your flesh which became you, you then became a part or the extension of the creator. Thus God (your word) recreated itself into form in creating you. If you can know that you are a part of the Great I AM then yes God is you and you are God.
When you act in unconditional loving ways and exercise forgiveness in your daily life and live in thanksgiving you are living in the heart of God, Spirit(my word).

there could be other gods and certainly there are thousands of people and things that we could worship besides God. That being said, we are commanded to WORSHIP only one God the God of Abraham

Good luck

A long time ago, most people understood that, and now the polytheists are coming *back*, baby!!!! :-)

Oh, and srstephens, if you were omniscient, immortal, and divine, wouldn't you hate to be the only one of your kind around? I know I'd like some omniscient, immortal, and divine friends or grown children in that situation...

Yes... and also the other "gods" that the one God had created were later labelled by his believers as Demons, and that facts was then used as an excuse to destroy..err... I mean...to SAVE "heathen" cultures, pillage their wealth and plunder their lands. And to atone these "Heathen" people, they would enslave them for their own good.

Yes, but each successive god is slightly smaller than the previous one, so that they can all fit inside each other and be sold outside Russian airports.

God is one of course but he has other mighty beings that serve Him. They are so powerful so that for us they are gods. So from human standpoint there are many gods lead by one God. From God's perspective there is only one God

You will find that "gods" in the plural is there in the Bible, so anyone who suggests that there are no other gods may have read the second part of Isaiah, but is selectively ignoring other parts of the Bible.

In theory I guess nonexistent beings could create other nonexistent beings. But it doesn't really make sense to me, so I'll just stick to god not making anything OK?

Ever notice that Jehovah commanded......"Have no other Gods before me?"

It has a penalty. And that is death.
