My answer: it's as tough as YOU make it. Will it be hard? Yes, but it's an experience you will never forget...it's a proud moment and an amazing thing when someone, (especially a male), asks you what you do and you say "I'm a Marine". That in itself is all the reward you need to get you through boot camp.

Also, be prepared to have to prove yourself mentally, physically and emotionally to male Marines. Be strong and smart. Nothing is worse than a female Marine that can't handle the Marine Corps...

After basic training you will be assigned to your MOS (occupation specialty) school and will train there. Your chosen MOS will determine how long school is. After that, you will be assigned to your duty station, (you may be able to have your choice based upon how well you do in school).

Remember, if you choose to enlist, you are representing females out there. Choose your behavior and actions well...your reputation is all you have.

GOOD LUCK!! You can do this!!

I joined the army because of the fact I enjoyed all the concepts. i had to bounce out of planes and that i did. i admire the thought that if i opt to be troublesome i will pass to the faculties they furnish and verify out for ranger or SF or in spite of the fact that while i think like it. I additionally like the reality that i'm stationed remote places (Germany) and that's notably basic to stay right here if i choose. The Re-enlistment bonus I have been given on an identical time as i replaced into deployed replaced into astonishing. In Iraq I traveled a lot and observed a good type of the Marine FOB's and that they stay a lot rougher than the army yet i think of this brought about the Marines to bond slightly extra valuable than the army contraptions that I observed. there replaced right into a good type of bickering between our men accessible which drove me loopy. the army has a extra physically powerful help factor so the army FOB's have been so a lot extra delicate and the nutrition replaced into so a lot extra valuable. As for the remark approximately Marines being smarter and such. That men a DEP. He hasn't even experienced the Marines yet. maximum provider-contributors as a rule are smarter than they are credited for...yet there are undesirable apples in the two branch. thank you on your interest in serving your usa.

The worst part is the boredom if you’re mentally tough. I couldn't say for the girls but we spend so much time push up that after a month you can do endless without a problem. Once boot camp is over it only gets harder but I was with the infantry so...if you have more specific question email me.

Answer: U.S. MARINES...if you please. We went to my daughters graduation at Parris Island in June of 2001.
Spending the afternoon before graduation touring the base and having pizza at the bowling alley together, we returned to her squad bay at 6:55 by our watches...saying good-by at the door the D.I. emerged and announced that it was in fact 7:00 and time to get back to work. Daughter smiled and said "See you after graduation", wife and I headed down the steps toward the parking lot, wife had tears in her eyes, confided that the D.I.'s demeanor startled her to the point that she "peed" herself...Wife asked, they don't treat our baby like that really do they...
Only since day one I explained...noting the difference in response between mother and daughter, it was evident that the "baby" had matured into a strong and competent woman.
A destination worth reaching is worth the effort, getting there may not be half the fun at the time...But certainly worth the effort in the long run.
If you are considering that path, I believe that it is a positive experience and wish you all the best!
