It's difficult to compare then as they are different. You should concentrate on what you want to do after that.

The American Diploma is a good background for diverse study. My children circumvented that by doing 'O' levels then to University. That put them 2 years ahead of the American System and IB.

I've an 18 year old daughter that's a junior at NYU in the Galatin School. That included One Semester at University of Seville.

The IGCSE is extra complicated to acquire. i believe that universities in England are in basic terms presently pondering accepting IB applicants. in spite of if IB degree (no longer certificates) is plenty tougher than AP classes, it continues to be much less confusing than the IGCSE.
