I don't think it is healthy to take laxatives, but that is your decision. Have you heard of dexetrim?-its a powder you put in your water for fiber and relieves water retention?. Check it out at your drugstore. The key is to eat healthy and exercise the same as how much you eat. Fiber is the best thing ever! It will keep you regular. Oh, and I don't want to be gross, but there's this procedure for colon cleansing. Its unhealthy to "go" less than once a day and go to bed without having had a recent bowel movement. Look it up and you'll see why i mentioned it. Lets just say, **** builds up and causes your digestive tract to expand... good luck. lol

You really shouldn't use laxatives as a weight loss method. There are plenty of other ways. You could eat a well balanced diet (aka: healthy meals) and exercise regularly. Plus using laxatives will only work for so long and then you will either end up with long-term damage or when you stop taking those laxatives you will gain weight again so there is no positive outcome with this method. If you are really upset with your weight and have tried exercise and a well balanced diet... try talking with a nutritionist. Just remember your health is the most important thing... don't hurt it by taking something that you already know isn't a good thing!

You shouldn't use laxatives to lose weight. There's no such thing as a 'safe' amount of days to use laxatives. That being said, if you have eaten a lot of heavy foods that can cause constipation, you could safely use laxatives to try to eliminate the bulk a little more quickly. But remember, laxatives require you to drink more fluid which can cause you to bloat -- and that will actually make you appear HEAVIER! When you overuse laxatives, you will cause your bowels to become 'lazy' (which means you can actually become dependent on them to have a bowel movement). Also, you need to be prepared for all of the 'lovely' side effects of the use of laxatives. They include -- really smelly bowel movements; loose bowel movements, lots of uncontrollable gas, and even loss of the ability to 'hold' a bowel movement. I don't know what your social calendar looks like, but if you plan to be around people, this scenario can be a lot more embarrassing than a less than flat tummy! Consider the tried and true and HEALTHY way to control weight which is a good diet and exercise, fresh air, happy thoughts, good friends and a positive outlook on life. Incorporate physical activities that you enjoy and you'll be trimmer and fresher looking in no time! Laxatives are just a 'dirty little secret' -- you don't need to use them unless you are told to by a doctor.

Hi,
I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.getgoinfo.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

It's not safe at all. You should only take laxatives as directed, i.e., if you are constipated and certainly not on a daily basis to lose weight. That is called bulimia. There is no quick fix to healthy weight loss. The weight didn't pile up overnight; it isn't going to go away overnight. Be healthy and smart or you will permanently damage your body.

Believe it or not, the directions on the package give you the safe limits for use. Anything more is going to cause health problems. If you are considering using laxatives for weight control, you may already have a significant health concern. You may want to speak to a doctor about this. Really.

That's not safe at all. You're going to get rid of vital nutrients in your diet when they haven't taken effect yet. Exercising and eating right is the best way to lose weight. You just need to be patient.

Alright i just did a huge university research essay on this exact topic. 1) diet drugs are never safe. 2)laxitives only make you drop water weight and waste....they wont make you actually lose fat. 3)the only way to lose weight is to diet and exersise, seriously.
