Depending on the circumstances which drive a woman to this point,first its shame, then, discouragement, then survival, and through shame and discouragement, fear. In the survival stage it is part addiction. (habbit) To break that mentality,it requires patience, faith in the woman and alot of help so that she can change her mentalty. How often does that happen? RARELY. As a result, her mentality stays the same. By the way, men can go through this as well.

The mentality of a whore varies as in any other "type" of person.
If we are talking about an actual woman that sells herself for money, then we are talking about someone who either makes use of what she considers her best assest or her only option. People do these kinds of things for many different reasons, some do it for a power trip, some people do it because they feel they are NOT good enough for anything else and some people do it out of downright desperation.
If we are talking about someone who has cheated on you, the same reasons above could apply for other reasons, self esteem issues, retailation for something you have done, or they suppose you have done, or just down right disreguard for anyone's feelings but their own. Lust and hormones and power trips can play into stuff like this too. I guess it would depend on the person, their personality and the circumstances.

Some my be very well but are in a bad situation and can not get out. It depends on the person. And how many of them are willing to let you in?
I had a girl Friend who is now a doctor who got kick out of her house when she was 14. Her mom hooked up with a drug person and wanted her out. Anyways she ended up on the streets and started hooking made enough money to start college got real job by 18 and she is doing well.
So like I said it really depends.

Well, one thing I do know - it's not gender specific.
A guy can be a whore or a slut too, and judging by the behavior of some of the male participants on this site (provided they are true) - there are no lack of them here.

if someone is really a whore, they are craving attention and probably had crappy parents. They didn't get the attention all humans need especially during the developing years, and they didn't receive the strength to deal with rejection so they always say yes.

they crave sexual attention for self grafication then a relationship..alot of women who sleep around do it for lack of self esteem or for control over others....maybe reasons....or they just want the money.
