from either side, religious or atheist, or do they simply star each other's Q's and the questioner just award points to the person who apparently most epitomizes their extreme sentiment? And it goes both ways.
Q: "God is a hoax. Can't you accept it?"
A: "Right on! Christians are such idiots!"
Star awarded, and 10 points awarded back.
Q: "Do you realize that you're going to burn in hell if you don't humble yourself to God right now?"
A: "Non believers are idiots and we don't want them in heaven anyways!"
Star awarded, and 10 points awarded back.
I credit myself with a fairly open mind, and certainly capable of putting my OWN thoughts into my OWN words. Does anyone else get frustrated reading Q&As from lemmings? Is it really even worth putting any thought into an intelligible answer for such extreme Qs?
Only 4 people had an opinon on this earlier, but I think it's a really valid Q and the As are also telling.

Yeah, I hear, "Lighten up" and "It's a big forum". But the fact remains. All this accomplishes is to solidify disunion and exercise hate towards each other. How can anyone who gives a **** about anyone else thinks that it's just fun or in good humor and let it go at that? When can we practice tolerence? What forum is that found in? If it can't be found in R&S, it's not to be found, and humanity really is doomed, whether it's to hell or oblivion.

If I get thoughtful, intelligent answers from Christians to tough questions that I ask, I will normally award that the best answer.
Unfortunately, I rarely receive answers like that, so the scenario you described occurs probably 90% of the time.

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. It's just normal, though, that someone who asks a question is going to choose the Best Answer from someone who agrees with them. I just did that myself. In fact, I tend to find it a little weird when someone gives me Best Answer and then tells me what a lousy answer it is or it was really the worst answer or, one time, the asker used all caps to tell me to never answer another question of his again. Of course, you know I had to seek him out, then.
I'm not sure who the "lemmings" are. You seem to be calling everyone a lemming. Why wouldn't you pick an answer that tends to agree with you? I thought that was the point. I have noticed, though, that if you star a question, the asker tends to choose the Best Answer from those who starred him.

LOL, yes that does seem to cover 90% of the questions here. I do look for the 10%. I make those people contacts, and then this section has some value to me.
It's not so hard to ignore the bumpersticker philosophies of the dogmatic, is it?

I usually answer with a crude or off the wall response. Chances are it'll get thumbed town anyhow, so why not have a bit of fun doing it? Most logical responses get shot down so fast by both sides that it really doesn't matter.

Will you give me best answer if I star this question?
Just joking...you make a valid point. I normally ignore loaded questions and allow the participants to glory in their own delusions.

I have become both disappointed and disillusioned by Yahoo Answers. There are very few real questions to even answer...I was thrilled that you had asked this one. I am extremely frustrated.

I completely agree, even though I take the time to answer some of these trivial questions. I feel like this category is clogged with some many stupid, poking-the-bear, anger-provoking questions. It isn't helpful to anyone here. Thanks for sharing!
