I opposed Piglet's opinion.
The air resistance is equal to the weight of the droppings.

Piglet is right that resistance is created because of air movement. Since the droppings speed was 0 m/s, the air must blow from below at sufficient speed to create friction - enough to opposed the weight.
[ I simplify the calculation by excluding pressure difference surrounding the droppings ]

0N. air resistance is the force opposing an object moving through the air because it has to physically move the air. If the object is not moving there is no movement of air.
Mathematically, equations for drag have velocity in them
