I have been to the Caribbean many times and also to the Mediterranian on a cruise. The Caribbean cruise is best if you want just fun and sun, like swimming, snorkeling, scuba, para-sailing, or just lounging on the beach. On the other hand the Med cruise is best if you like historical things like visiting the Vatican and the Collisium in Rome, the tower of Pisa in Pisa, Poimpei in Naples, the Acropolis in Athens, or Ephesus in Turkey. That was all a part of the itinerary that we had. We also went to Mykonos and Santorini in Greece and Nice/Villafrance. If you do the Med cruise you will want to see all of the historic places and thus you will do tours many days. Thus you will not have the R & R type experience that a Caribbean cruise affords. But you will be happy to see all of the history.
We did our Med cruise from Barcelona, Spain but we also did a Baltic cruise from Dover last year which was very nice. It went to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, St Petersburg Russia, Poland, and Eastonia.
If you peruse the cruise line web sites you will find some cruises to the Med and Baltic from the UK. Occasionally cruise lines do what they call "repositioning cruises" which bring ships from Europe to the Caribbean for the cruise season after they have a finished their Europe season. These generally happen just once a year each way. SO you really have to keep tabs on when they are being offered.

Depends on what kind of person you are. If you love beautiful beaches then go Caribbean. If you like to learn about old things, big countries, etc, go Med. Since cruising for me is just a matter of have fun and enjoy all I can, I always go Caribbean. I'm a beach lover. Last cruise I meet some girls from UK and they hated Med. since they see it all the time in UK. They enjoy Caribbean so much they were planning to go Eastern Caribbean next year again.

norway baltics is extra value-effective in case you are able to bypass could june even however they are going to leave uk and are not fly cruises. classic international cruises have some real affordable expenditures beginning from £399. Fred Olsen are solid too for comparable aspects even however they do have some med or iberian cruises and in case you e book late with them you may get some thing for bout £500 according to guy or woman. If its fly cruises, trouble-free cruise (same business enterprise as easyjet) are very affordable yet in assessment to classic cruises do no longer comprise any foodstuff so some thing to think of bout. louis strains cruises are very affordable maximum leave tilbury yet do have some fly cruises which start up from £349. different ones to seem at are ocean village, island cruises, and thomson cruises. thomson cruises many times have solid late deals on a crimson sea cruise which departs in the wintry climate with flights secure against the united kingdom. desire that facilitates. in case you bypass on a cruise you wont bypass decrease back on a land holiday its the wonderful thank you to return and forth by way of a mile!

if it's your 1st cruise i'd definately go for the med, there is so much to see and do, and unless you sail from the UK the flight is a lot shorter and you get to start your holiday quicker, who wants to be sat in an airport or on a plane when you can be sipping cocktails on deck?
