We lived in Livonia on Farmington Rd in Michigan. My dad's name was Daniel C. Ryan and my mom was Blossom May Newcomb Ryan. My name at birth was Christine Ann Ryan. I think it would be Wayne County, but not sure. My date of birth is 12-08-1947

Did you try the Department of Vital Statistics in Michigan? They may have records of your birth. If not they can direct you.

Look in the Telephone Directory for the phone number of the Department of Vital Statistics.

Hospitals are strictly limited by hippa laws as to what they can release.. meaning it is very unlikely they will give you information unless you can prove who you are. Maybe not even then, since they need a valid reason to take time for searching. I doubt that genealogy falls into that category. Proving who you are, in this case, would mean your birth certificate... since current id shows your current name. Of course, the birth certificate would include the location of the birth.
In most cases, getting a certified copy of a birth certificate means the state office, not the county. Where your family LIVED at the time you were born, is not always related to the place of birth. I lived in NE Calif, but close to the state line, and both my daughters were actually born in Nevada.. since both were high risk babies and the local hospital was not equipped for such births. And my neighbor's youngest was born in the car, in the driveway of their home.
It's important to be flexible in thinking, when looking for any records.

You will probably have to find out what hospitals were around in 1947 when you were born that were relatively close to your home. Then you can call these hospitals and ask for information to see if they can find you on that date.

Good luck,
Dave
