Definitely go with black and white. Its elegant enough to pull it off even in June. Go with red roses or something white and classy for the flowers. You might be able to add some gold in decoration, but too much would begaudy. Ditch the brown. It would not mix well. Good luck!

If you had to choose one of those, I would go with black and white, would be the easiest to buy for.
While planning my sister in laws wedding, I discovered another gorgeous combination... chocolate brown and pink! SO gorgeous and would be awesome for a summer wedding.
Maybe you could lighten up the colors a bit more and go for a more summery time of color palette. Black and white is very classic though. This is a hard question to answer! :)
As for centerpieces, would depend on where the reception ws going to be, since it's summer and all, but why not round fish bowls with colored water and floating candles? Would be very romantic! You could put round mirrors underneath and the candlelight would reflect off of it really pretty.
Or, you could go with a classic flower arrangement.
OR, you could get some nice pillar candles and have a nice flower wreath around them... or the mirror thing under the pillar candle would also be clean and neat.
(I have planned a LOT of weddings... can you tell? lol)
Good luck with your wedding!!

Black and white or brown and gold. You really need a third color for a black and white wedding to give it some vibrancy, especially for a summer wedding. Brown and gold are one of my favorite color combos, and adding cream in there would make it gorgeous.

Since it will be summer, and potentially rather warm, why not do black, white, and gold. That way you can use white and gold to keep linens and bridesmaids dresses "cool", and black as a strong accent two make things like centerpieces really stand out. theknot.com has some great resources for planning etc. and lets you store your ideas in a personalized online notebook (registration is free).

I think that of all the colors you've listed, black and white are the most simple, so it depends on what the theme is for your wedding.
I am getting married on July 7th of this year on the beach and there is SO much to think about it's not even funny, but you have plenty of time to plan and search for creative ideas. Make a list of things that you and your fiance like and try to brainstorm a little. Even though the bride usually does most of the decorating, it's definitely nice to have your partner's "touch" present as well.
Best of luck to you!

Honey, anything you pick will be fine! but if it were up to me, this is how i would decide.
Black/White is very cliche.
Black/Gold reminds me too much of a cheesy high school graduation.
And Brown/Gold, I dont know if Ive seen that done before, so I would definitely choose that!
For "my" wedding this July, my fiance gave me the option to choose, and I went with Maroon/Silver/White.
But once I learned that it was not "my" wedding, she changed the color scheme to Black/Pink.
I joked how the wedding would look like I'm marrying my best man, but she could not be persuaded to change back to my colors. Booo!!!
Anyways, Brown/Gold, that's my pick!!!

black and white. Everyone Ive ever talked to that went to a black and white wedding loved it. They said it was very elegant looking and beautiful. but the other guy is right, none of them are really summer colors. They wouldnt be very nice for a summer wedding.

Black and white with accents of gold (like your jewellery etc). For creative ideas I registered on the confetti.co.uk website and got them to send me a catalogue, I picked up a few ideas from there.

Why not go with all three colors. I did that in my wedding had three different purples, and three different dresses it looked wonderful. Step out of the traditional wedding scheme with just one color do all three. For centerpieces balloons, candles, mirrors, rose petals, flowers. its endless. In the end it is all up to you. Good luck.

1] Which colors do your groom/groomsmen/bridal attendents look better in?
Do they favor COOL tones - white, pink, maroon, lemon, mint or hunter green, any blue but teal, lavender, purple, gray, black.
Or WARM tones - ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, gold, olive, turquoise, teal, bright purple, caramel. chocolate.
a] black/white - black flowers hard, white very easy, big range of flowers
b] black/gold - see above, and below
3] brown/gold - could use sunflowers, blackeyed susans and daisies.
Good luck, and have fun [ you are not supposed to congratulate the bride, only the groom - bride gets 'best wishes', so here they are! ]
