No, it is not. Maybe it is harder to find when the world is screaming with stimuli that's louder and clearer. Maybe people have a shorter attention span and difficulty to concentrate and to take things slow. Also having sex without a relationship or sex on a first date makes people numb. They find it hard to enjoy smaller, more delicate stimuli when they learn that sexual pattern.
But that doesn't concern everyone. Have you noticed how much the young (and old) text one another? It's easier to say "I love you" in a text and pretty romantic too. It's lovely to receive a text like that when you're alone in a train, going home, or in somewhere else, alone in a crowd. Sick or stressed out.
Besides, when you are in love, there still is the thrill of the (accidental) first touch, the first kiss, the butterflies... the places you go to together, the mementos... some things never change.

Romance is not dead just undervalued. Todays youth doesn't view romanticism the way older people do. The little things have vanished and now romance has been reduced to the amount of money spent. What ever happend to just picking a flower instead of sending 3 dozen roses. hhhhhmmmm
I think chivalry is dead but romance is just modified to fit the times

initially, i like the way you have began right here, you have made some very stable factors. a number of the human beings who've already published have suggested issues approximately Bella, yet as this could be a editorial and not a critique, i think of you would be top to adhere to the single ingredient, that Edward is a detrimental person for absolutely everyone to be around, and that the portrayal of this character via Ms Meyer has some heavily demanding factors. some time in the piece you seek advice from your self, you may attempt to keep away from this, it makes it appear as if a private argument of yours somewhat than a reasoned editorial. you will make better factors in case you reside far off from expressing your self on the instant (i could kick them...). The factors you have made are great, yet once you do no longer recommendations there are some extra you may desire to apply, i replaced into maximum bothered via the overtones of spousal abuse (or maybe though the equivalent for a relationship is) the 'falling down' Bella does, the final 'oh I’m one in each and every of those klutz' recommendations-set is often portrayed via battered women human beings to describe injuries, individually i replaced into incredibly in contact in the 1st Novel while Edward harms her (biting and sucking the 'undesirable' blood out) and he or she then lies to her mum and dad approximately what has exceeded off, asserting she fell down the stairs, returned a elementary clarification via battered women human beings to describe injuries. i think of the factors you're making are valid, and am satisfied that different human beings proportion my concerns. while you're making the editorial much less very own it is going to confirm splendidly. wish this helps.

I think romance tends to be dead for many until they get a bit older. But it's not really dead, it's just hibernating until people get to be 25-30 and above.
I do think there are quite a few romantic younger people too thought ... there is still hope :)

I'm young...but my parents were old fashioned so...in turn...I'm old fashioned...when I was 12-16 (18 now)...girls didn't like all the romance I had to give (flowers, poems, love letters, candies, gifts...a real waste for a kid)...but later on now that some see the value of romance...I have found a girl who is flattered and even entranced by my alternate methods...it just takes time to find romance.
we just go too fast...but there is nothing dead about it.

I am in my twenties and I have always believed that no matter what, romance is out there for anybody. It's harder to find because there are jerks out there who give romance a bad name, but there is that special someone out there who is the most romantic person in the world to you.
Ok, so I'm a hopeless romantic. Someday my prince will come!

it's dead to me. Romance is just a fancy word for putting too much thought into having fun.

I'm 24 and I don't think that romance is death. I love romance, my boyfriend doesn't do romantic things very often, but when he does I really enjoy it.

it is not. its just changed its shape a bit....like most other gestures. it does have to compete with the materialistic glitz and glitter our society values though. the stronger of the two will win.....evolution. and chivilry is not dead because im still alive.

i believe it is dead because to many men use it to get laid. they don't use the romance to show they love you they use it to get in your pants
