If we were created in God's image, does that mean God can get cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes?

for all of the people that are saying that this is a test from god to make us strong, or that the devil does these things. explain that to my four year old niece who has brain and spinal cancer, and suffers more pain than I have ever known. I have asked god to please give me her pain and cancer and I will spread his word to everyone. He hasn't answered, and now my niece has 3 months to live. THERE IS NO GOD!!

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. In Genesis chapter 1 was the " creation " chapter. In Genesis chapter 1:26 we hear God speak, " Let us make man in our image." Who is " our?" This is evidence of the trinity of God... God the Father, God The Son, God the Holy Ghost. No. We "were" made perfectly holy, no sin ( the image of God ) until Genesis chapter 3 when sin changed our nature from good to now bad. But with Jesus, we can conquer the sin nature and live a life that is a blessing not a curse.

An image is not the same as the thing which it represents, and the passages which speak of this do not indicate that we are exact copies of God. Obviously, God is spirit, we are physical; God is immortal, we are mortal; God is the Creator, and we are the created. It is apparent that the similitude is not exact, so in what sense are we in His image?

God thinks, loves and is creative as are we. God makes decisions and is a fee agent as are we.

Nope we were created in God's image before the fall of man in the garden. With this in mind in the garden of eden disease did not exist. But when sin came so did disease as well as other horrible stuff.

I believe that when God created us we were perfect. But Eve ate the apple and brought sin into our lives. Which gives us all the diseases and such. We used to be perfect and disease free. Which is how we will be in heaven-the way God wanted us to be.
